Guy Ties Up 4-Year-Old So He Can Play Videogames

This story shouldn't be on this sight for one simple reason.

The term is "site", as referring to a location.

A typo does not invalidate the rest of my statement and you are the lowest form troll for even bringing it up.
And secondly internet domains like escapistmagazine.com are referred to as "websites" so your attempt to troll me has backfired.

If this "Howe" guy tied up a 4 year old girl so that he could go crochet a wool hat would it have ended up on The Escapist.
NO!

So why is it here now?

Because plugging our ears and yelling "LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" over and over again isn't going to make a problem go away. I can assure you that any hobby site that talks about news talks about parenting mishaps within their own community. And why? Awareness. If we ignore a problem and pretend it isn't there, it can only get worse.

The problem isn't videogames though. That guy would have tied that kid up if he hadn't played a videogame in his life.
Videogames don't make people tie up children.
The only propose articles like this serve is to make that connection.
There should be an article about me, a guy who plays vidoegames and has never tied a 4 year old to a chair.

You don't see sites that review movies posting articles about people who abuse children in the name of watching a movie.
The Escapist covering a story like this doesn't give them more credibility it just makes the Anti-videogame Crusaders jobs easier.
