I kinda like it actually. It reminds me a bit about the lamp that takes the place for the I the intro of Pixar movies. OK, I see a lot of it, but still, it doesn't annoy me.

I have no problems with the Escapist intro, but I do really hate Zero Punctuations intro/outro music. Not because it's bad, but because it is so obnoxiously loud. I always turn the sound down beforehand.

Bugs the hell out of me. I actually turn down the sound for it... and for all of Zero Punctuation's opening.

Yeah, I preferred it when ZP used songs for the intros - although presumably there's licensing issues.

I don't know where exactly to put this (none of the escapist forums are actually about the escapist as a whole unless I"m missing something obvious) but the vast majority of the content I consume here is video content and the intro that every escapist video has with the E in Escapist being rewritten with that obnoxious "HA" has literally been grating on me for years. I don't how that intro managed to last so long and always just assumed it would go away eventually. Do people here actually like the intro? Like I feel like it would be so much more...inoffensive if it just removed the laugh.

I don't mind it, personally. It's always been on the same level of SMOSH's whole "SHUT... UP!" intro in all of their videos.

Which is to say that I tolerate it because it's been around for so damn long.

I like the Pixar intro, but that's because it's a neat little animation which isn't that loud or obnoxious. I also don't watch 2-4 Pixar movies a week

Haven't really noticed it before as it's so short, but come to think of it I really like it. Just that short, out-of-the-blue sound makes me laugh...not sure why...
