Hey there,Escapists!
Let's say you love your hair, but your friends and family keep telling you to get a new haircut.
What would you do in this situation?

Ignore them , and if that doesnt work, you can always go postal
This always happens to me, but mainly on the family side, all my friends like my hair

It depends... Are they right? Would you look better with a haircut? I know a guy who wanted (wants? I haven't seen him over the summer) to grow his hair as long as mine was (which was like, past my shoulder blades the last time I saw him). It was not a good look for him; everyone thought he looked like a girl whenever they couldn't see his face. I'm all for freedom of hair, but sometimes it just makes you look bad.

Shave your head and get a swastika tattoo.

What, if they didn't want that they should have been more specific.
/thread pretty much

OT: cut about a centimetre off, that way you have cut it and they can't moan

Keep your hair.
Trust me.
You'll regret cutting it.
Couldn't agree more. It takes a loooong time to grow back. Plus, when it's short (for me, anyway) I run out of things to do with it.

I was in this exact situation a few years ago. I had lovely long blonde hair and people kept telling me to get a haircut.

So one day I did, I got a haircut, in afct, I had so much hair cut I had no more hair. No1 buzzcut.

Nobody's told me to go and get a haircut since, although I do keep it shorter now than I used to.

How many people tell you to change it? If there's an overwhelming consensus, particularly from the sort of people you'd want to attract, you might consider making a change. Last year I chopped off ten inches of my hair because I wanted a change. Now it's just above my shoulders and I'm considering growing it again. But the act of changing it was very liberating.
