How important is your hair to you? thats all that really matters here. If you dont really care that much, cut it and see how you like it. If its really important to you ( part of who you are) then why would you consider letting someone tell you what to do with it?

My current situation too. Although I actually need a haircut at this stage. What was once a french crop has grown into a monster. I will get it cut soon, although I'll miss the sensation of having my head weighed down by a Beatle-esque mop of hair, or having nothing to flick out of my eyes.

I would ignore them, for it is my choice.

I get bored with my hair fairly quickly. I can be brunette one day, then want to be blonde the next, and I always say, "yeah, I'll grow it out," then go get it cut the next day. I don't care if a particular cut suits me: if I get bored, it changes regardless.
