Let me see if I can clarify something. I personally did not receive anything outside of the sba loan I had to take out. The hotel I lived in for 6 weeks? me. Replacing my shit? me. That money was given to the United States, not to me.AC Medina said:

I don't live in haiti, nor do I know anyone who lives in haiti, has lived in haiti, or has ever been to haiti. Call me selfish, but it is none of my concern.
I get that you're bitter; it's a shame that an incompetent and/or uncaring U.S. government did a piss-poor job of providing assistance, and I'm sure we all applaud your resiliency. But implying that Haitians aren't deserving of aid now just seems unnecessarily petty. I'm willing to bet that, on your worst day during Katrina, you were still better off than most Hatians are on their best days. Look, I know they're in a state of turmoil and disarray right now, but I really don't care.
They'll get over it, just as every civilization does. Or dies. Only the strong survive.
Unlike most Americans, my only concerns are my own country, countries of the same world order or whatever it'd be called, and countries we're immediately involved with. And even then, all those are MINIMAL.

this is going to make me sound like s douche bag, but here goes. I think that we should leave Haiti alone. If we have another Katrina like disaster 10 to 1 they wont help us. Also I've read so many articles of people sending a record amount of texts to help Haiti when our own country needs help as well, not as much but still needs it.
I've done my part. I dug out a copy of halo 3, changed my emblem and played a few games.
