SourceRuns recently published their latest project, completing Half-Life 2: Episode 2 glitched, segmented with scripts in just over a half-hour, and by god if it isn't one of the most impressive technical runs I've ever seen. If it weren't trying for a fast time, it could easily pass as a playaround or some other TAS vocabulary wank.

I guess it's impressive in a way, but when you use this many exploits I don't see it being that far off from straight no-clip warp through the entire levels, he barely spends time in the levels as is.

Had a feeling this would be the first comment. I also prefer the kind of speed-run that beats the game by its own rules, but there is a serious amount of effort required to find these glitches and work out how to exploit them all in the most efficient way to get to the end credits as fast as humanly possible.

Was expecting so. As I mentioned, it's an amazing technical run. It highlights just how well made the maps are by forcing runners to resort to such insane tricks in order to escape them.

Props for the effort but I always find it more impressive when you don't glitch the game.

I love glitch runs. I cheat a lot at single player games because I like to see what happens when you start to take the game apart. These things are like that turned up to 11.

I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into this.
