So where did you find this? After much research (put Half Life Episode 3 count-down into Google and went to Valve.com), I do not see where this site came from.

Let's say this is real for funsy for one second...am I the only one who just doesn't give a shit anymore? I'm so disheartened by the way that Valve treats their fans that I'm absolutely baffled why people follow this developer like they are the second coming of Jesus and He's brought us smoothies...maybe it's a PC thing?

No it can't be legit, I mean a countdown is just a little too on the nose for Valve's tastes.

Although the timing would be quite ideal for me as I had only just gotten round to completing Episode 2 last week.

I've learned to no longer get excited when I see "Half-life 3" mentioned by any non-Valve source, period. EVERYTHING said about the Half-Life series is false if it hasn't come from the mouth of Gabe.

If it was Valve, they would just say "Oh yeah, we're releasing HL3 next week."

That's what they did with Episode 1. No news until about a month before it launched.

I see your point, but that fact that I enjoy Half-Life series very much and Valves games for the most part, along with the fact that I am a patient person, it doesn't really bother me that it is taking so long.

I don't really fidget around with anticipation, it will come when it comes, but I am certainly looking forward to hearing some news about it. Mind you, I don't treat any developer or company like they are perfect, I understand that Valve has taking on Steam and I am sure that is making them pretty busy, I can't complain with all the great deals Steam offers.

Oh don't get me wrong...we all know that when Episode 3 comes out, I'll be there, credit card in hand to demonstrate to Valve that treating their fans the way that they do is OK. I'll just grumble in forums about it; that'll show'em!

I'm just grumpy that they end Episode 2 the way that they do and decide that fucking with their customers is somehow a good idea in their mind. Take your time Valve, I mean, it's ONLY been half a decade.
