Half-Life 3 in Development, Left 4 Dead 3 "Looks Great," Says CS Dev

Someone should make a garry's mod version of Yahtzee's duke nukem forever joke review. Just so we can actually have a game with alien wedding cooking parties, dog shooting guns, and dolphin races.

Why was I thinking about duke nukem forever? Oh, no reason.

Well, given that L4D3 and HL3 all end in the number 3, I suspect that valve will release them during the next year ending in 3.
So, 2023 is my bet for the release date.

Far as I heard most of then left Valve, re-formed Turtle Rock and are working on Evolve now.

After the acquisition Turtle Rock Studios and subsequent renaming to Valve Studios South, part of the original Turtle Rock team left the studio to join Valve in Bellevue. The remainder of the team stayed behind to reform Turtle Rock. Or rather, begin operating as a separate studio again under their original title.

This all occurred some time after the release of Left 4 Dead 1 and around the time Kim Swift began spearheading the start of the Left 4 Dead 2 project - with all development of the game intended to be done in-house at Valve.

As far as I'm aware, those that left are still at Valve.

My problem with Valve and Half-Life right now is I am not really sure how interested in it I am anymore. I will read the articles about it, I did Half-Life 2 and the two episodes which I bought on release and I don't see that happening with Half-Life 3.

I'm going to go out on a limb so far as to say that Half Life 3 will be the new Duke Nukem Forever. It's never going to happen, but if it does it will inevitably be a letdown.
