Halflife 2 Episode 3, coming?

They'll announce it and then we'll wait another 3 years for it, like we already have been. Valve is only as punctual as they want to be.

I honestly don't think they will do a Episode 3, I think they'll just come out with Half-Life 3 show casing the new and improved source engine.

Although if they did do this how would they start off with the iconic "not doing anything and walking around bits" like they had in the first two games at the beginning.

Edit: I was reading the comment s in the link, and someone pointed out a hidden face, it's the freakin' G-Man!! Now I'm super psyched.

How bout they release ep 3 and save the engine upgrade for Half life 3

I highly doubt it, its been roughly 3 years since episode 2, and for them to just release another 6 to7 hour episode after such a long period just doesn't make sense to me logically.

My money is on the intro to Half Life 3, is to be going to this ship doing whatever it is your supposed to do, getting teleported off somewhere and that leads into the story of the true sequel.

Of course this is all speculation and they very well could just be announcing episode 3 but I sincerely hope not.
