Most of Bethesda's games. i.e. Fallout 3, New Vegas, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Skyrim, etc.

League of Legends. I stick to Sona, where I can be mostly passive and heal people, but even then I'm not great at all. I get murdered rather easily, especially when my carry isn't aggressive, either.

Most RTS games, I just can't play them very well at all. I'm not sure if it comes down to lack of practice or lack of skill.

Fucking Mario Party.

That game kicks my ass all the god damn day. I hate that game more than Jon Tron does...

The Binding of Isaac. I've only ever gotten up to Cave II in that game. I know it's not hard to get further, but I'm just no good at it.

Blazblue. Yup, that which my namesake comes from is the game I suck at quite badly. At least from a competitive standpoint. No, it does not mean I spam "it" though.

Im terrible at mmo pvp even when it seems that I have the advantage. I always whittle the enemy down to a little health and then they somehow kill me. I was never good at mortal kombat either.

Halo. Here's the thing, I'm that asshole that goes around knifing people in the back in FPS's. I am very good at instant killing people. Hell, that's where most of my XP comes from. Stealth, speed. Halo was not built for me.

No specific games, but in shooters I suck at sniping. Halo, CoD, Counter strike, TF2, Battlefield, ect. I am good with any playstyle except sniping. I Don't know what it is about it. Also, driving. I drive like a maniac (not nescesarily bad in shooters), often making the car bounce off of walls only to drive through an explosion and run into an enemy tank, and somehow make it out alive

Soul Caliber is the only fighting game I'm good at. Marvel vs Capcom 2 & 3, Mortal Kombat (basically all of them), Street Fighter, etc...I am terrible at that genre. On the easiest setting I've only been able to beat Mortal Kombat 2 once. I've been unable to get past the 3rd or 4th round of MvC2. There are countless others that I just can't get past. The fighting genre has me completely over the proverbial barrel. MvC3 was one I was able to beat on single player as just about everybody (I got the fuck-you first edition days before Ultimate was announced e.e) but only on Very Easy.

I generally play games on easy/normal, considering a game beaten once I finish it without even trying on Hard or Extreme with few exceptions.

I would like to get better at LoL even though i'm pretty sure i'm better than the average. sitting at 1099 elo trying to hit silver, I should hopefully soon.

Also Chess. The OP didn't specify video games amirite? So yeah I was always pretty shocking at Chess and got beaten by my 7 year old cousin.

In the pre-internet era, I was a console gamer, & not a very good one unless it was an RPG. I remember being unable to get passed Shinobi 3 stage 2 & Castlevania. It wasn't the enemies, it was always one of those "you have to perform X to get to Y" & I was not a child of patience. Good thing I never played P&Q games as a kid, or it would have ruined them for me as an adult.

It's gonna sound pretentious and/or obvious:
I'm awful at roguelike games like Nethack and the Binding of Isaac.
Also I'm awful at sport games, I like the more crazy ones like Sega Soccer Slam or FIFA Street. This could be because I don't like them and don't care about learning them.
For all the training I do, I'm not that good at fighting games not called Smash or Marvel Vs. Capcom. (Usually since they require robotic reflexes)
I'm also not good at racing games not called Mario Kart. Also could be because I don't like them.
Also I'm too slow to play RTS like I would like too.

I guess my problem is that I'm not good at genres that need a lot of dedication and memorizaion to be good, but i'm great at platformers, guess that's because they play more similarly to one another than Street Fighter does to Soul Calibur.

Even then I consider myself a adept gamer since I can beat Bullet Hells, Platform Hells, The Battletoads: Battlemaniacs Race, and Shin Megami Tensei games.

I'm generally pretty terrible at multiplayer in RTS and fighting games, even though I tend to enjoy them. It's probably because I don't feel like practicing over and over to get to the level that most players seem to be at.

Fighting game single players are the epitome of AI reading your controls to curb stomp you, especially Mortal Kombat 2 and 3. Have you ever tried Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3? Motaro still gives me nightmares.

Fighting games single players are either way too hard or easy. Tatsunoko is pretty well-balanced as is the original Marvel Vs. Capcom. It depends on whether the AI reads your inputs or not.

So don't feel bad for cheating AI.

Online shooters in general... I enjoy playing them, but I'm so goddamn bad. I usually just have one of my friends who don't suck play my account and pad my XP/K-D/whathaveyou.

I suck at JRPGs I love most of them, but I got me arse kicked a lot...

I guess I'm not good at Multiplayer TPS either.
