Just tell people you're a serial killer. Because "you can't tell them apart from regular people. Mostly."
That, or take an old cereal box, jam a staek knife in it and go as a 'cereal' killer.
I had thought of that, but decided to leave it. :p

Also, combine a headband and some cardboard with tape. On the cardboard write "Famous Person". Nothing beats a persons imagination.

Hey guys, while I normally never dress up for Halloween, I just got invited to a Halloween party and apparently, it's absolutely necessary that I show up in a costume.

While I really wanna go to it (for reasons I won't bore you with), I really can't be arsed to go to the store or make something just for one night. What would be a funny, easy costume I could put together with normal clothes and stuff around the house?

Feel free to share costumes you're wearing this year or previous years, especially if they're super easy to do.
Go as L from Death Note. White Sweat Shirt and Blue Jeans. Its both Legit and comfy. Plus they can't call u out on it, provided that ur hair is alittle messy.

Go as a hobo. Wear dirty clothes, and don't bathe or shave for a few days before.

Get a box and wear it. Write on it :'Big Daddy.'

Take a cardboard box, punch a hole in the bottom, slide box over head so you are wearing it like a shell, write across front in bold letters:

You are welcome.

This is why I bought a faux hockey mask multiple yonks ago. Jeans and a flannel shirt make you Jason Voorhees or some other kindergarden teacher. I likes to add a little something from my tool box - a mini caulk gun. The caption is usually; 'Mind if I seal your fate?'

Then I think I was bear naked last year. (cheap brown bear mask)

Yes, there was a small investment in each case, so I fail to clear the first hurdle.

Wait! I've got it! This is awesome.

OK, you have to wear your pants down around your knees and walk/hobble around slightly bent over.
You get one prop item which is cheap and easy to come by; an empty roll of toilet paper...

Eh, on the other hand, that's not particularly scary.
And someone might actually give you a full roll. Then what do you do?

Go as a hipster.
Find some think rim glasses, or 3d glasses and punch out the lenses, get some tight pants, some plaid, and maybe a PBR can.
Might need a little bit of going to the store for that, but it's not too bad.
Thanks, I actually took your advice and got something together. Who says the internet can't be helpful? :)

Simple, wear normal clothes. Just your fav jeans and top or something.

When people ask what you came as just say "a vampire. They wear normal clothes to blend in, just go and watch Buffy or Angel", simple.

1 large paper bag on your head. (eye holes optional)
2 smaller paper bags on your feet.
2 more paper bags on your hands.

Done!
Derpy FTW!

Nice! Where did you find that picture of her like that? That fan art or something offical?

Go as someone on a tropical cruise or something, cargo shorts, tropical shirt, flip flops and maybe a straw hat?

It's pretty cheap and easy to get, just go down to like Target or Wal-Mart and get the stuff there and it's just normal clothing too so it shouldn't cost much. :D

A friend and I are dressing up as Vincent and Jules from Pulp Fiction. I already have the hair for Vincent (my friend doesn't for Jules, though). The rest of the outfit we found at Goodwill. The ties ended up being the most expencive part.

It's sad, I have this down pat in my wardrobe. I wear it ironically (lol) because I get a laugh out of my classmates thinking I'm a hipster, then reeling in shock when they hear I support capitalism.

This doesn't sound bad. If only it weren't Halloween already and I didn't have class in a few minutes.

I'm not going as anything--again. I'm just wearing black jeans, a black Amon Amarth shirt with runes, and a Legion of the Damned jacket. It's not that different at all from how I always am.
