If you get a character with matching, or at least similar, hair it means you don't have to go out of your way to look into wigs as well.

Best way would be to head over to Photobucket [http://photobucket.com/] or Imageshack [http://imageshack.us/], make an account (doesn't cost you more than a few minutes of your time), upload it to there and then post a link to said photo. I prefer photobucket because Imageshack's colour scheme feels slightly uglier from where I'm sat.

You're name... must not say... go as a harlequin... or harley quinn.

You could go as a videogame character (although some of those costumes need to be elaborate)

A mummy, warewolf, vampire, zombie, ghost, Frankenstein monster, or witch if you want tgo go with a classic look.

You could dress up as an unusually profession, clown, nurse, doctor, etc.

You could mix and match like a zombie clown or werewolf nurse.

I have actually just been smitten by the idea of dressing up as the engineer from TF2.
