Halo 1 and 2 being remade?

This hasn't been officially confirmed by anyone yet, but it has been rumored that Microsoft is planning on remaking the first two Halo's to further milk the franchise for all it is worth (what little there is).

Out of curiosity, how do you feel about this?

Happyish, I wouldn't mind playing "more" Halo 2. Though there would probably be less playing as the Arbiter/Covenant, which was the only bits I liked much.

Right now, your sources are a bit unreliable, due to the fact that they have varying facts (One says Saber intertactive is developing, while the other says 343 industries.)

Considering how they are planning to make the "remake" more than just a prettier version of the game. I am all for it. Halo combat evolved was one of my favourite games and comparing the epilogue of Reach to the prologue of combat evolved. I am quite keen to see this in action.

I'm surprised they didn?t do this earlier. Or they are doing this now because Bungie has left the building and can?t complain when its precious creations are torn apart into rearranged into hideous new forms.

Personally, I would like to see how they pull it off, but like you say, it is just Microsofts way of making easy money. And I agree with the guy who said the Arbiter missions were really the only good parts in halo 2, I was disappointed that they took them out in halo 3

I'd only remake Halo CE, cause that was the last good halo.

And thats after another ten years, when the generation of people that first played it were actually old.

I actually don't have a problem with this, classic Halo in the Reach engine sounds like a great idea. Although they best not shoehorn in the terrible armour abilities.

Quite surprised they haven't yet released/announced some kind of Halo Pentalogy Boxset though...

If this is true, i have only one question: When is this fuckin' series going to end ??? I have nothing against Halo really it's just that remember the tagline from Halo 3 : FINISH THE FIGHT !

But for the fanboys i can understand that they still want some Halo action....after all they only have: Halo, Halo 2, Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, the movie, the novels, the comic books, the figurines and every other Halo thing...
