That sounds neat I guess, but you know what I really want? I want "Blood" brought to XBLA. I really want to play it, and I can't find it anywhere for PC. C'mon, XBLA, you've got a lot of good old sprite FPSes, why not Blood?
OT: Meh. I like Halo:CE just the way it is. Same with Half Life.
If I remember right Blood is abondonware now. So you can technically just download it off the internet. This new Halo seemed good, until I knew they messed with the multi-player as Halo 1 had the best online imo.

Try playing StarCraft 1 after StarCraft 2.

Some games really do need remakes.
I did. I definitely like 1 better.
Sorry, I wasn't completely clear:

The other day, I played SC1. I'm a fan of both games, and really don't mind graphics.

However, what I do mind is the fact that the UI, HUD and gameplay mechanics are hugely improved in SC2. I had a pack of Zealots, and it was nigh impossible to get a pack of them to move. Probes are easier to manage, you don't have to tell each one to run to the minerals all the time.

I'm not saying SC1 is a bad game, I'm sorry if that's what it came across as. But it could be vastly improved.
I actually did go back and play the original Starcraft and Diablo 2 recently. I hacked them to get them to run at 1080 (2560x1600 is just too much, 1080 allowed me to stretch it a bit) and I did still enjoy the experience

The above said, a graphical upgrade has been made in one instance (Starcraft 2), and is in the work in the other (Diablo 3). Yeah, it's a different or extended story, but that's a good thing. Still, it's just and updated remake, updated graphics, and updated story. Now, wouldn't it be AWESOME if the new sequels also included the original. I'm not sure why this is so difficult and nonexistent. Maybe they should make the originals available as expansion packs ($5-15). Yeah, you've already paid for the original, but studio would need to make money to justify spending time on conversion.

It's definitely a yes for me.
I've never actually fully played/owned the original Halo, so I look forward to be able to do it with updated graphics and all that jazz.

I'm not sure about this one... on the one hand, I loved Halo: CE and it could be cool to see all the features of the game I loved remastered and updated into a new era. They may even revamp the plot a little by giving a major antagonistic role to the future Arbiter Thel Vadam, which would be cool.

But on the other hand, Halo CE was a great game. And one that needed no recreation, as it still stands up quite well to the modern standards of shooters to this day. I don't need to buy the whole game again for nostalgia's sake. Plus if I'm not allowed to play as an Elite in multiplayer, I'd go nuts.

So to be honest, I might have to think about this a lot more before I make up my mind.

Which is the same policy I'm using for this whole Halo 4 business. Right now, I'm on the fence.
