I'm now very excited about this, I love the idea of playing through the flashbacks, and seeing the battles of the Halo universe through the eyes of regular human, albeit an ultra badass ODST, will be refreshing.
The concept is solid and the whole idea of taking the perspectives of other soldiers instead of one badass focal character is an idea that I have always liked in game. Hell it's one the reasons I liked Halo 2 more than 1 and 3. The snarky dialogue between the soldiers also gives some nice character thats always felt a tad lacking from halo (aside from Johnson of coarse). Here's hoping it turns out well.
ODST looks great; finally a different take on the Halo universe. As for Reach - I know nothing about the books but a quick search found a plot that was generally interesting.
ODST looks really interesting. The gameplay, from what little we've seen, looks good and seems to flow quite well, although that Brute was taken down a little to easily for my liking but then again, ODSTs are elite soldiers. The trailer for Reach was very interesting in the fact it seemed to show the glassing of Reach.
Oh and I found an image of the Halo 3 ODST Collectors Edition. It includes the game itself and a special UNSC style controller. WARNING: LARGE IMAGE.
