Looks awesome, I can't wait until they release it for PC.

What's that? no PC release?

Also Chief will have to decide to euthanise Cortana. I'm calling it now.

I don't think that will happen this game, considering it's just the start of a whole new trilogy. But yeah, I don't see her surviving to the end of Halo 6 that's for sure.

I'm aware of the multiplayer story, but couldn't they even throw in a bonus elite mode, or better yet, get rid of the "story" hastily stitched onto the multiplayer? On the book notice, I don't think I'm the only one going to consider that the non-canon ramblings of an author who does little to no research into Halo lore in order to strawman the side they think is wrong. Please note, I'm not being hostile towards you, it's just the first thing seems like a subpar addition that add nothing and takes away another option people enjoyed, and the second is Kareen Traviss completely butchering Halo lore with blatant falsehoods regarding the spartan program, and making the Elites like the brutes more than humans(!?!?).
The Elites don't like the Brutes anymore then the Humans. Your like many who seem to think: "Alright, well she only showed the Human hating one's, so they must be the majority? Right?"

When that is false, most people support Thel'Vadam in a peace with Humans.

Also what blatant falsehoods regarding the Spartan Program? Are you talking about the punch scene? Or the Kilo-Five Halsey hating (which ONI wanted them to hate Halsey by giving them one-sided information on purpose.)

Or the Halsey hating where Halsey actually decided that she is Human and does have some morality instead of being shown as a never-evil-doer from Eric's novels.

Not that I think Karen is the best writer (far from it) but the hate around Glasslands is SOOO overblown.

Well I have now offically gone away with the hype, anything less than a constant orgasm for the next year will be a dissappointment to me. I can normally be very logical when it comes to games but Halo unlocks the small child in me.

YAY MORE HALO :D

I have high hopes that it will be good. After all, its the first Halo FPS without that Bungie magic.

This thread is lacking a very hyped Oshawott:

I don't think the human haters are the majority, it's just that the return mentions how they went to full out war with the Brutes, while the Human haters don't seem to have any grudge towards them.

The falsehoods included acting like Halsey acted on her own in the program(Which ONI brass green lighted), the flash clones(which, again, ONI knew about), and I also thought Parangosky having such a big rage at the cloning of said children was a tad bit hypocritical when she used orphans as suicide soldiers. I agree Nylund's Halsey was Mary Sue, but they made Halsey into a buffoon in this, with every single character trumping her in an argument. And then Mendez acts pulls the Parangosky, and also says the lie that they didn't choose the Spartan IIIs on any scale genetic superiority(which they did, just not as much as the IIs).

In regards to the punch scene, Halsey should have been extremely injured from that, not just have a relatively measly black eye.

I think why they considered the Brutes less of a threat was because since Servants of Abiding Truth still believe in the Forerunners as Gods, they don't seem to feel threatened about the Brutes as much that work under them. But for the rest of the Sangheili who know that this is false, they still wage the war against the Brutes. Abiding Truth may not believe in the Prophets but they probably still believe Humanity is a threat to their religion.

I think the stuff that they blamed Halsey for was a cover up, using her as a scapegoat for all the shit they did. Instead of taking ONI down, they opted to just take Halsey down and make her seem like everything she did was her fault rather then all of them. Probably makes them sleep better at night knowing they won't get the blame for it.

As for the III's that is high debated on even before Glasslands, from what I read of Ghosts of Onyx, only few III's (like Noble Team) were in the same genetic category as the II's, and most III's were just random kids who were Orphans of war, Ackerson himself said that he didn't care much for the gene part just that they needed expendable soldiers en masse. III's aren't as Powerful then II's granted, but still more powerful then ODSTs.

The Punch thing, I agree, it probably would have killed her, but I took that scene with: Artistic license or something like that. Probably would have been better if the whole scene had happened differently so that break in canon didn't happen.

Spartan-III candidates came from a much wider gene pool than Spartan-II candidates did. Unlike the Spartan-IIIs, all the Spartan-II candidates possessed "pefect" genes that allowed their augmentations to have the greatest effects. This means that, even though the Spartan-IIIs received most of the Spartan-IIs' augmentations (Other than the Catalytic Thyroid Implant, which produced significant gain in muscle mass and strengthened bone structure), the "perfect" genes of the Spartan-II candidates produced superior results.

For example, the augmentation that supposedly gave Spartan-IIs a 300% boost in reflexes (Superconducting Fibrification of Neural Dendrites) in reality caused a 1400% boost in reflexes, due to the genes of the Spartan-II candidates.

An exception to this would be NOBLE Team. The members of NOBLE Team, although they were Spartan-III's, possessed the same, or similar, extraordinary genes of the Spartan-II candidates, and thus were formed into a team and equipped with MJOLNIR armor.
