I would pay good money to see that game developed lol, I'd definatly play it.

Like most say, Halo makes way too much money to just be left alone, no big games companies can leave alone a popular franchise, look at Final Fantasy 7, thats been flogged mercilessly.

BUT. There will be Halo 3:ODST, which I suppose is close enough.

Yes and its about time.

But they will never let this happen because it is much to profitable and in all honesty its not to hard to make a Halo game just copy everything from the last game and change a few levels and put them in different order. O and maybe add a new gun that no one will ever use then slap the name HALO on it and throw it to the marketers. They will make a half-assed ad and then twenty seconds later 3 million copies have been pre ordered and thats just the special edition...

Of course they're going to make a sodding Halo 4. It's too profitable afranchise not to. 3 Even finishes with a hook for Halo 4. However, it has not been announced yet.

You can bet on these two things almost with certainty.
i) Bungie will not develop it
ii) It will be announced either at the end of or shortly after Halo 3: ODST.

Ninja'd...damn.

This is it. Maybe Gearbox will make it. Who knows...

Didn't Bungie say a few months ago that they were done with the Halo franchise after Recon? I remember reading that somewhere.

Either way, Halo 4 would be an abysmally bad idea in my honest opinion. It's getting to look like the Saw franchise, which is at it's eleventy-billionth iteration, and at this point it's just dry crap, not the innovating awesome that the original was.

Except not really, because they butchered that movie a bit a bit as well. If I can watch a horror movie without at least my eyes widening, then they didn't do it right.

I always thought a game revolving around the early years of Spartan development and training would be good for a Halo game. Hell, make a customizable character and everything too.
