Are people really saying that they didn't see this coming? Considering Halo 3's ending was left completely open. They can do what they like. Space is a big place to say the very least.

OT: I'm definitely interested. Halo 3 was a bit disappointing. but I'm open to what the new studio can do for the series.

I was really hoping there wouldn't be any more Halo but -- more importantly -- without Bungie developing it, it's quality is going to be up in the air until it's completed.

A new trilogy? Hmm. I hope this means they've already got the story planned out across all 3 installments. I didn't recognise that ship at the end - maybe there'll be an entirely new plotline, with entirely new enemies etc? That would be cool.

Here's my problem with this (I'm not a hater, just being critical here): The Halo story has ended. The Covenant no longer are an enemy. The Flood have pretty much been eliminated with the sealing of the Gravemind on the Ark. They've made a proper conclusion to the series. So why are they continuing it?

I'm willing to give it a look if the new devs change something about the gameplay. Seriously. You already revolutionized the genre once Halo. In a time where the FPS genre is all but completely stagnant, you're in a prime position to do it again.
