Halo: ODST

Look, I know Halo threads here are generally not liked, but with ODST coming out on Tuesday, I want to see how many people have it Pre-Ordered, who plan on buying it, and those who plan on avoiding it like the plague.

If you're not buying it, throw in some reasons as to why. If you do, try to make it better than: "because it sucks".

Because the only reason I'd want to buy it would be for firefight. Everything else seems more or less the same with a couple of new guns. So, no, I'm not getting it.

I've pre-orderd the special edtition, and I plan on buying and playign the shit out of it. I love Halo.

Why is it that people assume it's a still a short game? It's really not hard to head over to bungie.net and do a little research, it hasn't been a 'short expansion' in a long time, more like a full campaign these days.

As for me and my husband we have it pre-ordered and he will be picking it up at the midnight launch in just over 12 hours

My impressions on the game at first were that ODST seemed like an over priced expansion and that still stands but right now I need some new games and I have enough friends who are planning on buying the game and I might as well join them since I kind of want to play more halo online and I don't feel like going back to halo 3 (I didn't buy any of the maps and don't plan on doing so).

I preordered (so I can get the Sgt. Johnson skin) the Collector's Edition (because my three-year-old wireless controller's getting a bit gimpy after some hard use, and the CE is cheaper than getting the game and a plain controller separately) last month... and I'll be picking it up on the way to work on the 22nd.

I'm trying to save so won't buy (yet). Since it's such a short game and my copy of Game X generally isn't needed at LANs there's no good reason not to borrow from one of the many friends who will buy it tomorrow and pick it clean by the day after.

I like the idea of playing as one of the Halo-verse's more dispensable characters instead of the deific man-tank that was MC, so I'll go ahead and buy it.

I hear a lot about it but I don't really expect it to be much different from playing as the Chief. The only thing that might change my mind is if the health packs are scarce.

OT: Why I'm not wasting money on this shit "game"

1. It was supposed to be DLC, then it wasn't goint to be a full price game, now it's 60 bucks, obvious waste of money.

2. The multiplayer brings absolutly nothing new accept a couple of maps, and they added stupid mode where you can play as Johnson.

3. Halo 3 was a huge dissapointment and I don't trust Bungie with my money anymore because nothing good has come of it.

Don't have it pre-ordered, but thinking of picking up a copy not too soon after release. Firefight should be good fun, and the campaign actually looks interesting. Shock horror.

No you probably couldn't change my oppinions on facts. Also I really don't get the catch with Sgt. Johnson, you can't even tell your him, and it's not like he's gonna say funny black man quips or anything(well he might but I doubt it) all in all it'd be the the same if you were just the ODST skin.
