Halo Reach Voice Acting

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't stellar.

Right in the beginning, you're getting a distress call from a squad under fire, and I can swear that the voice actor doing the call was sitting on a lawn chair and sipping some ice tea. I've never heard a more relaxed person under fire in my life. He seemed almost... bored.

Oh, look, Scarletti's been hit. Guess his guts are hanging out everywhere. Well, I suppose they'll do that some times.

The acting is good, it's the dialogue that's bad.

Except for Carter. Carter's voice is shit.

Good! Although i thought it was a bit predictable that Kat had a Russian accent. You'll never see a cranky, spy-like soldier with a Mid-Western accent

Fun-fact: The voice actor was Israeli ex-military. Not Russian.

Personally, Dr. Halsey's voice wasn't that good acting wise. And the fact it NEVER fitted her character from the books, which this game is about, made it stand out in my mind. She was supposed to be the strong, yet caring mother who recognized each Spartan without them removing their helmets, that talked to them like they were her children. She just seemed like a tired, crotchety woman in Reach.

Uhhh.....am I the only one who really liked Kat? I thought she worked really well all around.

wasn't bad, but could've been better. Jorge's was excellent, and dammit, I liked Kat and Jun, too. I think people just had a hard time trying to figure out what the hell kind of accents they had. Carter's seemed a bit stale, though.

The voice acting was fine. Folk need to remember that those in Noble are super soldiers created to kill, hence Emile's line "big man forgets what he is sometimes." They are hardly going to be the most expressive and emotive individuals.

People are just nitpicking because its Halo.

It was good, just the parts that were unconvincing really stuck out, like in Kats last scene; she wasn't panting. or that thing where jorge and the girl translate from whatever Reach's language is to english for our sake... seriously why not just sub it?

I loved the voice acting. Of course I prefer some characters to others, but dont we all? We all like some more than others.

I for example really liked

Carters final words before he crashes his pelican into the scarab.

They were delivered perfectly.

As well as all of Jorge's lines. I didnt enjoy emile too much but during the last level he was brilliant.
Overall I liked it. As somebody said before me its not mass effect good. But its still good.
