Halo: The Necros War.

I was brushing up on my Halo post war lore, studding whether or not a space strategy game in the universe would be possible now that the humans had pulled an X-Com and can actually fight off Covenant ships. By the way they can now.

However, then I found this ominous little thing while reading up on the new Ragnarok dreadnought.

The Necros war.

From the looks of it, it is yet another hopeless war for not only humanity but for all sentient races in our galaxy. Presumably the creation of a bunch of crab people known as the Precursers, whom the Forunners worshiped as Gods, these totally not Reapers have come back to destroy all life, presumably.

Also, the Spartan who seems to be at the front and center of this war is Renegade Shepard.

EDIT: I have the feeling this whole plot line is either a fanon piece or has been created by a genius troll. Look at the people who have become a "Reverent" which is basically the same thing as that this you become in Quake 4.

Sorry to break it to you, but you are currently browsing a haloFANON wiki. Which means none of that is cannon, only stuff created by fans.

So there is no such thing as "Necros" in the Halo universe. Nor does the Ragnarok Dreadnought exist.

And yes, humans are able to go toe-to-toe with covenant ships now that the UNSC Infinity has been built (it's as large as a Covenant Assault Carrier).

To be honest, that is what I thought as well. It's a shame, the new ship lineup they had for the UNSC looked badass.

Is that from that fanon wiki too? Those ships look /really/ familiar. I want to say 40K, maybe Battletech or some old space combat sim. Judging by this thread, Halo fan fiction is apparently mostly written by people who wish they were fans of other series 0.o
