Personally I never saw any problem with the Halo games of the past, each one is fun and great to go back to.

However the one thing I would change is in Halo: Combat Evolved, I would have the Arbiter (prior to his becoming an Arbiter) a prominently featured antagonist so that his transition from foe to friend is completed through the course of the trilogy.
Agreed, I love Arby, I thought his levels in Halo 2 were the best part of the game. That said, it would fuck up his backstory. If you read the books, it was implied that he was this high ranking dude called The Holder of the Luminous Key, who go his ship stolen by the Master Chief and company between games and never actually was at Halo. This really conflicts with the beginning of Halo 2 though, so I have no fucking idea.

Bungie could have added an iron-sight aim and sprint at least. With the standard machine gun weapons you pretty much have to be a few feet away to make sure the bullets hit something. Except the battle rifle.

"Halo is too generic! It's like every other FPS!"
"Why doesn't it have these other FPS aspects that every other FPS has? WTF Bungie!?"

And yet, some people don't these statements as conflicting one another.
