Apparently the controller is comfortable. Plus that demo looked so good. I can't wait.

I'm getting more and more optimistic. Please don't dash my hopes, Nintendo.
For me, it's not Nintendo I'm worried about but the incompetent 3rd party developers. Hopefully, they'll give the WiiU the treatment they should've given the wii.

E3 sold me on the WiiU, buying another Wii, and maybe a 3DS.

The possibilities with this blew my mind.

ot: i still think its a stupid idea
...Why? Where did that number come from, exactly?
twilight princess 2006 skyward sword 2011
1998 Ocarina of Time. 2000 Majora's Mask. 2002 Windwaker. That's just the console titles. The handhelds fill up much of the inbetween years. They've broadened their market, and now have a larger consumer base to play with. As they said during their conference, it's time to focus more, and give back to the community that got them to where they are.

I wish Nintendo would just make a regular HD system with a normal controller and optional motion controls. Stop messing around with all these gimmicks.

Anyone know if it will have a structured and simplified online play like XBL or PSN?

EDIT: It will

OT: I don't really like it so far.

I like that nintendo are doing new and different things it makes things interesting and what is the point in making a "normal" console if its like everything else on the market why would anyone buy it?

Why does anyone buy Xbox over Playstation or vice versa?

The games, the slight differences and personal preferences.

I like Nintendo games, not Nintendo gimmicks. So give me something simple, powerful, and awesome to play it on. Nothing else.

But that's just how I feel.

My issue with the new Nintendo console is that, whilst it apparently is going to garner sufficient 3rd party support now, it is due to the hardware currently matching that of the 360/PS3. However, what happens when the 2 current "hardcore heavyweights" decide to release a new console and, like the Wii, the WiiU falls behind? I don't really expect developers to create a different version for a system with inferior hardware so any port would simply be a lower quality alternative. Similar to the issue that occured with The Force Unleashed basically.

For now I'm happy to have a nintendo console getting the love it deserved from 3rd party developers (and Arkham City is a big boost for nintendo), I'm just curious how long it will last for.
