Several years ago I started wishing people happy Friday the 13th, since I was incredibly fed up with all the Valentine's Day bullshit that seems to flood the public. The reactions I got made me want to continue doing it whenever I could remember.

So...discussion value...How does Friday the 13th treat you? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Do you enjoy messing with superstitious people?

I dunno. Usually when my boss is gone, my boss' boss will let us leave work early as long there isn't much to do and as long as we don't ASK to leave early. But today she doesn't seem to be getting it. We have NOTHING to do, we did EVERYTHING she asked, but I have to go back to work after my lunch break... it's just so out of pattern, and even if she has a good reason like she anticipates something important happening this afternoon, she hasn't told us. Now I'm in a bad mood, especially since we didn't get to leave early last Friday either (but that was for a good reason, there was a TON of stuff to do all day).

I also stabbed my finger with a staple while trying to fix a stapler. It didn't bleed hardly at all but it hurt a lot more than you would think.

Other than this site acting werid at the moment it has been ok today (well I admit this quests on Guild Wars took longer than expected but that is the result of lack of planning).

Also it's my brother birthday (yes, born on the 13th and he doesn't believe in bad luck).

I forgot unfortunately, I love messing with supertitious people. Although the date probably explains why so view poeple came to work today...and why I was nearly hit by a falling safe in the street not long after walking under a ladder :p

Honestly Friday 13th was just like most of other workdays for me. Spent the morning hanging round waiting to go to work, went to work and left for home at 9. What can I say it was a really uneventful day for me today.

Well only realized a few hours ago, haven't had anything weird happen. Today has been above average really. The biggest thing I dealt with was my friends going "OMG iz teh friday 13s!!!11" all over facebook.

I had a bad series of Friday the 13th when I was in Elementary school. I got sick three years in a row to the point of throwing up at school (the odd thing is I felt fine at home before I went).

My dad actually considers it lucky for him. He was supposed to have his finger cut off to treat "cancer" he had in it on the 14th. On the 13th they canceled it because they figured out it wasn't actually cancer.

It was a minor blizzard today though. Granted where I live a minor blizzard is hell on earth for many people. I'm just used to it around here and I've driven in worse. Actually went to get groceries tonight without a second thought about driving in it.

It's my 18th Birthday. Or was, seeing as it's 1:35am here now. Went for a chinese, had a few beers, watched Monty Python, got lots of money from my far too generous relatives.

Not half bad.

It's already the 14th here and the day was the same as the ones before, except that I have now weekend. That made this friday more awesome than the other days in this week.

Oh, I totally missed that it was Friday the 13th yesterday.
I avoided all back luck though. Apart from being sick... >.<

Well, it's the 14th here, but my 13th was fairly uninteresting.
Did homework, dicked around in Saints Row 3, finished the Legion storyline in New Vegas, and I'm doing a second run-through of Lonesome Road as I work my way through the DLC backwards.
The 12th had a bit of bad luck though, one of my laptop keys snapped in half, so my 'volume up' is now this strange gap on the keyboard.

My Friday the 13th has been very pleasant, thank you for asking.

I got an early morning workout with a friend, completed all of the errands I had to do before work, work has been relatively calm and quick, and I'm enjoying the company of a friend after I get off tonight in the form of movie marathon night. So all in all, today has been grand. One of the better ones in recent memory, though this whole year thus far has been an improvement surprisingly, aside from one setback (which I think started the whole positive trend).

Yeah we were slow today too, but I was extra clumsy tripping over everything and got punched in the face by a dog... XD

I failed my driving test today. However, I put this down to the retards that designed a tiny roundabout with 5 fucking exits on it in my city (its also at the top of a hill on one exit - which I was joining from - and the roundabout itself is rather awkwardly sloped), and another driver's shitty indicating.

Only a moron is superstitious when there's numerous practical excuses at hand.

Actually, today was a good day for me. I finally got off the train and took an hour long bus ride home, which just spells out bad shit happening but... it all went really well.

As for every other Friday 13th, nothing considered unlucky ever happens. Perhaps it's that I always prepare for the bad luck and it never comes when you do that. Most of the unlucky stuff that happens to me come as a surprise.

I treat it like any other day.
Though granted, I suddenly want to look up who, what, where, when, and why this superstition started in the first place.

My Uncle turned 13 on Friday the 13th. He considers this lucky, because how many people can say that?

OT: I'm already paranoid, but I'm not superstitious, if that makes any sense. So I felt just as nervous driving today as I always do. But I went to get a haircut and the girl that did it was pretty cute, I will consider this good luck.
