It's currently St. Patrick's Day in Australia and even though I know a few Irish have begun to not care about the holiday because of many reasons, I still have to say you Irish are awesome. What other country has half the world saying because of their great grandmother, twice removed, they're are Irish?

So Escapist what will you be doing on St. Patrick's Day? Be it nothing or just horribly impersonating their accent as fondly as possible.

Me? I'll be finishing the night with some music (Clancy brothers, Dubliners and Dropkick Murphys) ,drinking and watching the funniest show I've ever seen Father Ted.

[small]I know he didn't like the day but to the long since banned Furburt, wherever you may be, have a great day.[/small]

Heh... if only tomorrow's England vs Ireland match was today at the Aviva Stadium... that'd be a lively affair, eh?!

And why, for the love of god was I thinking of Lansdowne Road?!?!

Question - just how many Irish people like Guinness?

EDIT - *sigh* derp moment of the day take two...

What am I doing for Paddy's day? Going to watch England beat Ireland in the Six Nations of course!

Also, Wales grand slam (don't spoil the party, France).

I was out last night, so today I'm going to be sitting around nursing a hangover, motivating myself to do some work.

I'm using it as an excuse to get as many friends as possible to come to the Pub tonight. Due to illness and other things we haven't managed to get together for a nigth out since October, so any excuse will do.

This. And the other matches! Only on the telly for me, but I've got roughly my own body weight in alcohol, so it's all good!

Not a fan of the day.People tend to go overboard drinking(even by Irish standards)and there's nearly always trouble before the night is over as a result

Ah yes "St.Patrick". The mythological human who banished all snakes out of 84431 square kilometers of land using a stick.

We have dismissed that claim.

Oh boy, St Patrick's Day, perhaps the most obnoxious holiday of all. I'm staying indoors, plugging my ears, just pretend it's any other day of the year.

I dunno. I'm bound to have some tiny percentile of Irish blood somewhere, like about 99% of all Canadians. Yes. Even our immigrants from Lebanon have Irish blood. Don't ask me how, I don't know.

Being silly is fun.

Considering that, I'll try and see if I can't get some zombie fly-girls.

In America, we update our Facebook, wear green, and go out drinking.
I am not of drinking age yet, so I'll just conquer Ireland in Medieval 2 Total War.
Oh, I also have to write 3 pages of an essay regarding the environmental situation regarding nuclear power.

Working until ten. Then exercising. Then maybe hanging out with a friend and watching "Leprechaun", because I love trashy horror.

Watching Black Books(Dylan Moran's Irish, it counts), drinking, learning a few Irish songs on guitar and unfortunately, revising for exams next week.
