Sometimes when playing a game you like, you may come across an achievement that seems hard, even impossible to complete. So I am just wondering, what was your Hardest Achievement EVER!

For me it has to be completing Call of Duty: World at War on veteran difficulty, I spent so many hours effortlessly trying to complete those last 2 painful levels of grenade spamming AI and infinate waves of enemies. I eventually pulled through however, and was so relieved when it was finally done.

doing 7 real days in the original dead rising, yes kids, that means throw away 168 hours of your life! and you have no saves, you can die if you dont eat and the worst part is youll probably get bored of actually killing zombies within an hour

The one that has always eluded me is the 'kill all the guys in the car chase at the beginning of The Darkness' one. I assume it must be possible but damned if I can figure it out.

I wouldn't say hardest, but one of the ones that annoyed me the most is the "Seriously 2.0" achievement from Gears of War 2. Basically kill 100,000 enemies.

Hit 29+ home runs in a single round of the Home Run Derby in MLB 10: The Show. You get 10 outs. If you don't hit a home run, it's an out.

"I am Bad Company!" in Bad Company 1. It requires you to basically 100% the game, find all collectables, gold, trophies, cards, patches, and achievements. That is HARD.

That includes the following requirements online. You have to get them all.

IAR=In a single round

IAR: Get 20 Headshots
IAR: Get 15 kills with grenades
IAR: Get 52 kills
IAR: Destroy five air vehicles

Unless you have played the game, you know that is very, very hard.

I wouldn't say hardest (well maybe I would, in some cases), but any game which requires you to be constantly playing it for like a week straight. Or more.

Take Fiesta as an example: there are some 'achievements' which require you to be online, and stay in one place for an entire month, and during that time you cannot possibly quest or level up. At present it isn't even possible to get this achievement considering if the Internet decides to screw around you've got to start again, and they have weekly maintenance, which means at least an hour of server downtime.

Beat Ultimate last boss achievement on The Last Remnant is because you have to do everything to get to him and level everyone up right and still it's the hardest boss going, beat it for 200g, last time I checked less that 100 people have it

I haven't actually done it, but several Orange Box achievements are ridiculously difficult, like completing all Portal challenges on gold, or doing the Little Rocket Man achievement in HL2: Ep 2.

Little Rocket man from half-life two episode two.
Not really hard just annoying.
And most of Cod veteran achievements

Agreed. Not really that "hard" but ridiculously time consuming. Having played the game religiously since it came out I'm only up to like 39,000. Luckily if you repeat one of the last checkpoints where you are riding a Brumak (spelling?) you can rack up 50 kills pretty fast over and over.

But, I think more time consuming is to get level 100 in multiplayer. I've logged over 25 days (600+ hours) and I'm level 91. (5.2 million exp out of 6.8 roughly) Luckily, they doubled the exp you receive plus gave the winning team a bonus but it is still seeming to take absolutely forever.

I managed to get to like 35k until my game decided it wanted to reset the counters. No surprise I haven't been bothered with it since then

In Ghost recon advanced warfighter I think it was called. Anyway you had to be number one in the world in the multiplayer in order to get the achievement. Also gears of war get 10,000 multiplayer kills ones, fun. Spent a few years to get that one. I didn't really actually care about it till I actually got into the 9,000 range but dang that took forever.
