Hardest and Easiest Ocarina of Time Temple?

Of course everyone is going to say the water temple. Not me though. It's pretty far down the list actually.

In order from Hardest to easiest I'd say:
1. Forest Temple
2. Shadow Temple
3. Spirit Temple
4. Water Temple
5. Jabu Jabu's belly
6. Fire Temple
7. Dodongo's cavern
8. Deku Tree

How did you guys find the Water Temple in TP?

Rather pleasant actually, since they fixed the boot problem. And the boss fight felt like shadow of the colossus.

FELT like, but was still far too easy, just as were all the boss fights. Some of them were creative and would have been a metric shit-ton of fun, if not for my knowledge that I wasn't in any real danger. Only Ganon really puts up much of a fight. I truly hope that Skyward Sword will be a return to Ocarina-level difficulty in boss fights.

Nuts to that, it should be more like Majora, which actually had challenging bosses. Ocarina was a total cakewalk.

The Water Temple isn't that hard, I've played through it without the blue tunic multiple times. I'd give hardest to the Shadow Temple, because it's built around having the Lens of Truth, meaning random invisible stuff everywhere.

I didn't find the Water Temple very hard at all, to be honest.

The FIRE temple on the other hand. jsklfdjsfj.

Also, easiest? Probably Spirit. I find mirror puzzles strangely thereputic.

Water=made me never finish the game.....I opened the wrong door and then was ...well screwed.

Forest= easiest because....it was.

I don't understand why there's so much hate for the Water Temple. The most frustrating thing about it, for me at least, was finding all those bloody keys. Actually maneuvering through it wasn't all that tricky, except for the whirlpools. So I wouldn't rate it as hard, just time consuming.
I don't know which one I'd rate as the hardest. The Shadow Temple would certainly be up there, if only because you were running around with those hover boots on which made it incredibly easy to slide of edges into holes.

Not *really* considered a temple... but the dungeon you get the Magic Mirror from get's my vote for toughest.

Agreed. Had the disdain of being a water level, with the aggravation of those damn boots.

True. But in an ironic twist, it probably has one of the easiest bosses.
(Then again, it also has mirror-link. A sub-boss that's worse than several of the actual bosses, including that at the end of the water temple.)

I never found the Water Temple in OoT to be as hard as people make it out to be. I always found Majora's Mask's Water Temple to be MUCH worse in comparison.

Agreed. Screw those currents. Majora's Mask, as great a game as it is, has a bunch of awful temples (Stone Tower being the worst).

I didn't have the internet when I was playing Ocarina as a kid, so I never knew so many people had problems with it until a few years ago. I always liked it. I thought the boss was cool, and the hookshot was my favorite weapon in the game.

Easiest: Spirit Temple. Or at least it always seemed like a cake walk to me because I would always do it right after the Water Temple. Getting through Gerudo Valley to get there is harder than the temple itself. Though I have an interesting question. After the Water Temple, you're basically left to figure out for yourself where to go next. Are you officially "supposed" to do one of the Spirit and Shadow temples before the other, or is the order meant to be flexible?

I believe the Shadow Temple is meant to be after water.
Anyway having just replayed through it on the 3DS would say the hardest was the shadow temple, though i think this is mostly because i couldnt be arsed to go into the well and get the lens of truth so i just guessed where the floating platforms were.
Easiest...ehh probably Fire Temple.

Not really; I found the Water temple tedious as fuck, but not hard.

Are tedious things not hard to finish? If I'm not enjoying a game, I tend to lose interest in it and stop playing.

I quite liked the Stone Tower Temple myself. It's just the Great Bay Temple that killed it for me.

Great Bay Temple is where I usually stop playing which sucks considering I love Majora's Mask way more then Ocarina.

I'm playing the 3DS version at the moment and they made the Water Temple less annoying but still tedious. If you miss one key you have to restart the water raising process again. Dark Link was easy without any of the common strategy's for me. If you hookshot him at close range he rolls towards you, leaving him wide open for a hit. It's a short window of opportunity to hit him though so after that was the classic sword fight.

For the rest of the temple they highlight the water level areas and made the iron boots an item instead of gear. This allows Link to do a swim through water levels making it less annoying to navigate.
