Lets face it. at some point in time you have come across an enemy that served you your ass on a silver platter. Now the only question is which enemy.
Mine has to be the Cyberdemon from Doom (From Doom2 onward, he's treated as a normal enemy)

MOOOOOO!

Without using Blind, he's a mother fucker to fight.

Didn't know enemies scaled >_>

Oh Doom and the other 2.5D FPSs had so many. Mecha Hitler from Wolfenstein 3D, those red flying head things from Doom, and the water-dwelling squid things from Duke Nukem 3D

Most recently, Striders from Half-Life 2. These guys take 5-9 RPGs (depending on difficulty) to fall. Each. And there are usually at least two attacking you.

Also, the poison zombies from the same game. The headcrabs it toss can bring your health to one in a second (only temporarily), it takes lots of ammo to fall, and there overall very creepy.

Also also, Combine Hunters and Antguards from Half-Life 2. Both are big beasts that ram you and take a lot of ammo. Antguards are much stronger, Combine Hunters travel in packs and can shoot.

Ant Guard:

Combine Hunter:

Long post, and the enemies are from Half-Life 2... I'm playing that game too much.

The False King on Demon's Souls. After the 14th death and 10 levels stolen, I finally kicked his ass.

I believe I woke up my neighbors with my victory scream.

Sepiroth in the first Kingdom Hearts and the Ice Titan from the same game, running and dodge rolling like a armadillo on cafiene while trying to use Elixars was haaaaaaaaaaaaaard. But still a true gamer relishs a challenge and it made it all the more epic when I finally beat'em'down. Like when me and my bro took down RAAM on elite, I was bleeding out, he had 1 sniper bullet left and Raam was right above him, Raam luanched his Krill at me, (I was in the dark) "TAKE THE SHOT" I yells and with a roar he fires. BOOM AND RAAM IS DOWN IN A FIREY EXPLOSION, WOOOOOOOOOO.... arrrrrrr fun, fun times. I realise for some hard core gamers this might not seem that impressive, but we were new to elite mode on anything and it played out sooooooooo closey, it made it so epic.

In recent history I would have to say it is the Ch9 boss of FFXIII (I forget his name). at roughly 10 min per try, it took me roughly 4 hrs to beat him. Flipin destrudo and doom did it every time.

The way i finally beat him is that i sold a ton of my good accessories to upgrade my weapons. It killed me inside.

Y'know the Devil boss and all his mini-bosses from Ninja Gaiden on the XBox? Yeah, try doing that without any potions. Sucks. Really. Really. Badly.

Lucifer at the end of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I was maxed level, went in, got destroyed. Luckily it's an optional boss.

This. I hate that boss so much, and the thought of fighting it discourages me from playing Metroid Prime 2 again.

The boss itself is not hard, it's just that you have to fight the boss in an area filled with poisonous air that slowly kills you. It takes to damn long to kill the boss so you can die easily. Poisonous air is frustrating enough, but then you make me fight a boss in it? Even with all the energy tanks you can get up til that point that boss is still a *****. Also, despite being a sub-boss, the Boost Guardian is harder than almost all of the other bosses in the game.

Platinum match, Hercules collisium. After you complete all the cups and their multiple modes, its unlocked. That reminds me, beating Hercules and his immortal, golden, bad-self in the time limit was tiring as well.

Which boss?

EDIT: I never managed to beat Hades in GOW on God difficulty. Managed the first fight & even managed to beat all the other Kratos's. Could never beat him in the last fight with the big sword. Was all about the Blades of chaos.... That is what they were called right?

Hell, all of them. When I first started playing the original Xbox version even the tutorial boss took a couple tries. Buuuuuuuuut After playing the whole game I'd have to go with the 18 different boss battles at the end. It was crazy.

"You just beat the final boss!"
Awesome!
"Oh! Wait. Now that you've spent all of your potions on that boss fight, HERE'S ANOTHER!!!111"
-Takes a half hour to beat next boss-
"Now you've won!"
Finnaly.
"sorry! we LIED! Here's another boss fight. enjoy absolute frustration!"
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
