Two words: Ninja. Gaiden.
Oh yeah, its always a bit tricky the first time through, but when you start getting to the later levels, and they take the same boss and make you fight 3 of them at the same time, or something else ridiculous like that, then it becomes controller crushing hard.

I would have to say that it was pry General Raam in Gears Of War. It took me about four times to beat him. I was extremely happy when I saw him finally die though.

The Chandelier on Ace of Aces mode on Ace Combat 6. Pics Below:

NOT ONLY do you have to take out a fucktarded amount of cooling units, which incidentally are shielded like mofos, and take 3 - 5 shots to take out, but you have the entire Strigon team of 7 or 8 aces chasing after your ass, and there are Aegis-class destroyers, missle boats, and Flak guns EVERYWHERE. LITERALLY EVERYWHERE.

And that's not the end of it either - there's 2 backup systems, both INSIDE the damn gun. So you have to keep avoiding getting fucked up by all that shit, while flying inside a tiny little tunnel guarded by 6 super powered Flak guns, obstructed by the loading mechanism for the gun, which, if fired at this point, makes you fail the mission. So you have to kill that, while flying inside a tiny tunnel, and avoiding Flak fire both inside and outside the tunnel, while aiming at a minuscule target at the end of the tunnel. Oh, and the only way to make it out alive is to be really damn lucky and not hit any of the poles in the way of the exit holes.

Finally, as if that wasn't enough, you STILL have to avoid getting fucked up by Strigon team guys, while flying down the ACTUAL BARREL OF THE CANNON. Thank God you don't have to worry about flying back out of the cannon, because there is NO room to maneuver.

Yeah, it's fun, but this mission has broken more controllers of mine than any other game I've ever owned.

Sepiroth in the first Kingdom Hearts and the Ice Titan from the same game, running and dodge rolling like a armadillo on cafiene while trying to use Elixars was haaaaaaaaaaaaaard. But still a true gamer relishs a challenge and it made it all the more epic when I finally beat'em'down. Like when me and my bro took down RAAM on elite, I was bleeding out, he had 1 sniper bullet left and Raam was right above him, Raam luanched his Krill at me, (I was in the dark) "TAKE THE SHOT" I yells and with a roar he fires. BOOM AND RAAM IS DOWN IN A FIREY EXPLOSION, WOOOOOOOOOO.... arrrrrrr fun, fun times. I realise for some hard core gamers this might not seem that impressive, but we were new to elite mode on anything and it played out sooooooooo closey, it made it so epic.
This, Sephiroth was one hard bastard to beat in Kingdom Hearts, the second game toned him down, but on the first... well he's pure bad-assed and you don't even get shit for beating him. I even tried him with a cheat disk and invincible health... he still whipped my arse... and killed me... with invincibility. I eventually killing without invincibility on my fourth play through but shit was it hard.

Same here Sephiroth was hard as hell to take down. Took me maybe a good hour. I think I only beat him because I got sick of seeing the opening cutscene a million times!

The Chandelier is nothing compared to Lt. Pasternak from the same game.

He does impossible 180 degree turns, completely disappears from the radar (and impossible to target if he does) if he's not in your sight for more than 2 seconds, something which WILL happen ALL THE TIME since he likes to do a 90 degree turn and pass real close to you at full speed, requiring YOU to do a much slower 180 degree turn.

Oh, untargetable and impossible to hit even if you DO get a lock-on? Pfft, that's nothing - the guy takes literally a dozen missiles to take down. Think it's over? Nope, he gets to fire 12 homing (one-shot-kill) missiles constantly, ALL aimed at YOU. And if that wasn't enough, he's surrounded by nearly a hundred drones that also do impossible 180 turns and are impossible to hit. So if you lose sight of him while you were getting a lock-on, you automatically target one of those damn drones who look exactly like his plane, making you waste precious ammo.

Oh, and the whole level has excessive bloom and your allies can't target him either.

Have fun.

The worm thing in Ninja Gaiden 2. FUCKING WORM THING! I HATE YOU FOREVER!
It was literally the only reason I stopped playing that game. It and the fact that the game emasculated me.

He hit me and I died... yes Sephiroth is that hard... he by passes Infinite health.

But seriously, the Infinite health has a weak spot, spells which take your health down the 1 point will bypass it and you need to get back up to full health for the Infinite health cheat to reactivate. So when he did that one spell (you all know what I'm talking about) he turned my Infinite health off, then killed me.

Yes, Sephiroth on KH1 is the hardest boss in video game history IMO... I've never faced a harder boss.

Well the damn Krogan trying to rape kidnap Liara in Mass Effect 1 is pretty annoying and the end of Horizon From Mass Effect 2(Scions w/ TEN MILLION Husks and first Praetorian in the game) can be real big bitches but then I remembered how much I loathed fighting Jill in Resident Evil 5. It was so long and drawn out it pissed me off. She was really god damn fast too. Oh and I'm pretty sure there was more then one boss in Resident Evil 4 really burned my ass. Except Ramon Salazar. He was a *****.
