I beat Xenogears without any assistance. I guess it wasn't crazy hard but a little help would have been nice in some areas.

I've beaten every song in every rock band/ guitar hero on expert, including through the fire and flames and Jordan. The more recent games i have yet to play however, but I'm attempting to do the pro setting on Rock Band 3.

The original Metal Gear. That game was a ***** when I was a pup, I don't know how hard it would be now.

I never look up walkthroughs...
Some FAQs on advanced aspects when I was in my Pokemon phase perhaps, but never walkthroughs.

If you mean literally blind, then yes, I played Impulse on GH3 on expert while blindfolded... not to 100% but I passed it anyway :p

So the hardest game I've played... probably the early Megaman games or Battletoads. I haven't managed to find any challenging games too recently :/

metroid prime took 3 months but dam was it worth it.
Took just a day (obsessively, of course), but I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment regarding the game's awesomeness.

I thought you meant beating the game when Drunk, that would be Smash Bros Brawl, me and some mates were playing when wasted thinking "Yeah we should play this drunk, itll be awesome, turns out we are just as good drunk as we are sober, Go Figure.

OT: I have beaten almost all games with out the use of guides for the Story parts and side missions etc, but as already mentioned, things like the pidgeons in GTA4 or the Fallout Bobbleheads, Animal locations for the Kill all animals Trophy/acheivment in Red Dead Redemption. Then yeah, you may need a guide.

Ocarina of Time! I didn't know people would actually try to look up a walk through for that game, it seemed like that would take away from the experience. It took me a while but damn if I didn't have fun. Never once had assistance.

Terror from the Deep, I had played Enemy Unknown before that, but it was back in the pre-Xcomutil days so it wasn't as hard as TFTD. That was before we had this internet thing so there were no walk-throughs or guides, hell for Enemy Unknown I didn't even have a manual...

Let's see. Like the OP, I did beat Zelda II blind. I also beat Ninja Gaiden 2 (the NES one) and Bionic Commando. I guess I never considered them "hard" as a kid because I actually managed to beat them. "Hard" games were, for me, games I couldn't beat. Like Battletoads.

Never uses walkthroughs. The only thing close to a guide i ever used was the blitzball roster for FFX to see who to recruit for my team.

Remember Mile High Club on Call of Duty 4.

Beat it. Vetrean. No help. Took a month.

And I still suck at Multiplayer.
same answer for me only replace month with week and insert "kinda" between still and suck.

I'll admit I do use guides for RPGs most the time because I like having everything

Hmm... I can't really say RPGs, since I've used some kind of help along the way. Thus far in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn I've not used any walkthroughs, but I'm finding the game to be rather easy.

I guess twilight princess?

I usually need to look at a walkthrough at least once, because if the puzzles aren't too difficult there will be some other buggy bullshit or bizarre "adventure game logic" that forces me to look it up. It just gets ridiculous sometimes when things in games make no sense at all. It's not a matter of intellect, like being able to figure out a difficult puzzle... sometimes it's just getting used to figuring out what games want from you. That said, I didn't need any help on God of War 3, or New Vegas. Also, I did Metal Gear 4 with no help EXCEPT for the part where you kill Vamp - and even with the walkthrough I still couldn't figure out how to inject him.

Well I didn't exactly try every day.
I was... for hours... My best friend got the 100% achievement for the game and that was the only other one I needed for it. I think more than half the time I logged into that game was spent on getting Mile High Club, No Fighting In the War room and the FNG achievements
