I don't think that the way you used the term "blind" is valid. At all.
Sorry, I've been watching some LP's lately and I've seen the term used around a lot, so I thought it was valid :/

I'll admit I usually use a guide for that one level in a game and only as a reference for them. Like green star 1 in stone cyclone galaxy on SMG2. I felt horrible about looking it up because I never had to do that for any other part of the game.

I did beat LoZ: twilight princess and ocarina of time blind though (but I don't really find that a very hard game). I tend to not use guides for stuff usually because the game I play doesn't necessarily need them. 100% completion though usually means I will use one though, but only if i've already beaten the game.

I am likely to use a guide for RTS games. And unfortaunately almost every puzzle game i've played involves a guide for at least one stage.

Hardest game I've beaten without ANY help? Even a tip from a friend?

Halo: Reach on Legendary solo and Call of Duty 4 on Veteran are tied for this honor.

Myst 3, which I'm quite proud of.

Also, a couple of the games from the Humble Indie Bundles.

metroid prime took 3 months but dam was it worth it.
Took just a day (obsessively, of course), but I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment regarding the game's awesomeness.
lol yeah its one of the best games ever made. as to why it took so long i got sidetracked scaning every thing ended up at the end of those 3 months with 95% of the game done never did find the other 5% though.....
That's a massive pain in the ass, the scanning; when I replayed it, and in the next games I just made sure to scan everything as I went along.

Assassin's Creed 2. Technically, I used GamesRadar to get the Glyph locations, but those aren't part of the main game, strictly speaking.

well me and a buddy just finished up Army of 2 the 40th day on the hardest setting, and we breezed right through it.

Probably Onimusha 3. It's not that hard of a game in general but there is one section where the camera angle hides the entrance to the area you have to go, and there are like 6 locked doors within 3 rooms of you. I got so confused and lost, it took me almost 4 months to find that damn door. I hate you fixed camera angle.

Everything except Starcraft Broodwars. I had 2 cheat so bad on that game lol. Im good in multiplayer but the computer can easily kick your ass in the story mode. the only time someone should use a walkthrough or a guide is when they are looking for collectibles. ie GTAIV pigeons and maybe god of war

Remember Mile High Club on Call of Duty 4.

Beat it. Vetrean. No help. Took a month.

And I still suck at Multiplayer.
That's dedication dude. Thankfully, it didn't take me nearly that long.. Maybe 2 hours or so? I guess it's mostly luck though, or at least I thought so. That and clever flashbangs. (I was overjoyed when I found the extra supply of them on the second floor)

Only thing I tend to use walkthroughs for now is collectibles or catching locations for some pokemon
