Just been playing through devil may cry 4 after finding it cheap online and its reminding me of the time that I spent 4 months of after school gaming time playing through Dante Must Die on devil may cry 3.

What are your hardest moments or achievments in gaming that you are proud of?

Also, as a pre-emptive message to anyone that mentions Ninja Gaiden.....I hate you, despite how much I have tried, I still cannot complete either of them on the hardest difficulty.....

Taking on the Elite Four or really any trainer of higher skill with a nuzlocke challenge in effect becomes infinitely harder.

even if you grind, you can still get those misses or unlucky crits.

How long did it take you to finish it? It took me a few hours after some difficulty with that Bishop twat first time you fight him, but after that it was really easy.

In response to OP, I would say that completing Gears of War 2 on Insane was about as hard as it ever gets more me, I just struggle with 3rd person shooters.

Getting all the camos in MGS3 Snake Eater. For those who don't know this can be done by defeating a boss with only using tranquilizer darts.

Nyx avatar. Hard mode.

At least an hour of my life down the drain once Mitsuru healed the boss to full health and she killed me in three hits. Took me half a Saturday and two controllers to beat her

Beating the final level in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

The bad guys in that would shoot you from across the map, you had TWO nuke silos to disarm, and you were on a time limit. Difficult, but fun

By the time I had gone through every difficulty on the first release of Devil May Cry 3, I had clocked over 100 hours on the game. I couldn't tell you the exact time as the timer stops at 99:99:99. It took a while but I eventually did it, from Very Easy to Dante Must Die.

To this day, I still can't complete Devil May Cry 1 on Dante Must Die mode....

Fuck you Devil May Cry 1. You kick my ass so hard but I just keep coming back for more.

I enjoyed Elizabeth more though. At least she fought fair and I didn't have to worry about my idiot party members doing something stupid like healing her or attacking me or using Marin FUCKING Karin on a boss immune to it

Beat Uncharted 2 on Crushing difficulty.

The game was just unfair. You couldn't hold much ammo, any 'action' moment (no stealth) always took at the very least five tries, those FUCKING bullet sponge shotgunners, and all the explosions.

God of War 2 Gauntlet on Titan, no magic & Rage run. I don't know how many hours I spent on that God forsaken place.
Also DMC3. I didn't finish because I really cbf with DT... Well, everyone. Heaven or Hell was funny though.

She hardly fought fair. Just look at her restrictions:
No Persona with more than one Null/Repel/Absorb property is allowed. Only Resist skills can be used to cover any applicable weaknesses.
No accessory that nulls any kind of Physical/Magic attack is allowed.
It is forbidden to use a Persona whose singular Null/Absorb/Repel property counters her own currently summoned Persona.
It is forbidden to use the Armageddon Fusion Spell at any point in time. (except when her HP is at around 9,999 or lower, to which she can no longer retaliate after being hit)

Plus she can move twice a turn. And you have to fight her alone. Say what you will about babysiting your team, but if you choose the right persona going in you can easily just have your team fight and for you. plus your team does help.

Beating many of the GOLD challenges in NBA JAM ON FIRE EDITION, they are so immensly difficult and annoying that i broke my brand new controller in less than an hour gameplay..
FRUSTRATIONS!!!

Also, one of the maps as ALLIED forces in Red Alert 3 where multiple blimps fly all across the screen and you have to shoot them down before the leave the map, destroy blimp bases and enemy entirely.. I was almost terminated by enemy early on, all i was left with was an airport, so i could only have 4 minor airplanes.. Back and forth constant bombing and repair for close to two hours gave me victory.. It was awesome..

Mile High Club.

On Veteran.

In less than a minute!

It took me something along the lines of two hours to finish it. That might not be long at first, but remember that I retried a level that only takes a literal minute to beat 120 times before finally getting the achievement.

I also tried Black Ops on Veteran. EEEEKKKK!!!! Treyarch is the devil when it comes to difficulties. I never did beat it, though.
I know what you mean, MW2 was much easier on veteran. Black Ops made me closer than any game ever has to throwing my controller at something in frustration on veteran. I didn't even feel good for beating the whole thing, only like I'd wasted my time.

This too! If you popped a part of your body out, just for one second, you were dead, instantly. It was pretty brutal. Funnily enough, the final boss wasn't even the hardest part.

Hmm... Hardest moment in gaming would be completely beating Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. That game's insane.
