I've spaced on their names, but the guys at the end of inFamous and Killzone 2 were freakin annoying and hard for me, I don't do well when bosses teleport around really quickly it seems...

Yeah was it just me or were those IMPOSSIBLE to dodge??

Ironically the secret Dahaka ending was an easier boss fight. Pity you have to go through all those damn traps to get it...

I didn't have any trouble with Ruby or Emerald weapon in FFVII, or sephiroth in KH2 (one was freaking hard). Is there something wrong with me? :S

Bouldergeist from Super mario Galaxy made me want to brutally headbutt anything that was smiley around me the first few times I challenged him. The theory was easy, but as for atually winning...It took me a while.

Honorable mention to the Mechataur in God of War. That thing was just...evil...

I don't know why anybody hasn't mentioned any of the bosses from the MGS games. The Sorrow, from MGS3. Because of it's unique awesomeness, I 'died' about ten times before I figured it out (THe rest of the bosses in that game though were simple point and shoot and dodge).

Final boss in The Bouncer. Since the controls are sloppy, and he can fly around and you cant its kinda fucking annoying. 8/10

That entire game is fail. The battle system is so shonky. I finished it as a kid and enjoyed it, but i think that's because I was a masochist. I've gone back to it in recent times, and it's not as good as it used to be.

same here hah. i must've had the worlds greatest attention span to actually play that horrible game. I went back to it not to long ago and i think it might have given me cancer.

The thrice-Damned Chessboard in Devil May Cry 3. I know it's not a "boss," per se, but on Dante Must Die, it's tied with Arkham for the single most nail-bitingly, hair-rippingly frustrating fight in the entire game for me (and I'll admit to never winning genuinely, I cheated to get Super Dante and used unlimited Quicksilver).

Also, forget no RPGs. Having to use a bunch of items or level grind is the mark of a truly difficult boss. That said, the only boss I've ever (ever) had to grind to beat was...goddamned Kuchinawa from Tales of Symphonia. Mostly due to the fact that you have to fight him alone with Sheena.

Had my revenge, though. Nothing tastes so karmically sweet and karmically wrong as finishing off Kuchinawa by summoning Volt...

The Devilhand from Godhand (PS2). Has exactly the same powers as you, but twenty times your health and attacks across the entire arena. He also counters almost everything you throw at him and causes ungodly damage. And this game is already Nintendo hard.
Based on the chosen difficulty I'd give him 8-10/10 (because the highest difficulty is simply masochism). From the same game, the five Power Ranger midgets than jump around like crazy and are too small for most of your punches.

I gotta agree on Devil Hand, but I actually found the Mad Midget Five fun to fight. Still, if I had to nominate a hardest boss from that game...I couldn't do it.

Honorary nomination to THE ENTIRE DAMNED ARENA in that game. Especially the timed missions, and especially that timed one on Level Die where one hit kills you.

that one fucking table in persona 3. I forget the name but holy fuck was that boss hard. fucking megido and maragidyne every single fucking round, with an occasional break for hamaon.

That's a shame, back to the start of this 2 hours boss fiasco you go.

Good thing the whole fight was so full of win I didn't care.
