Also, when I was a kid playing Ocarina of Time the first time, I thought the last Gannon was kind of tough. But maybe I was just young. I'm off to play it again.
No you're right, Ganon was pretty tough, at least in the first part of the battle.

Once you realised you could grapple to avoid the explosions it was a bit easier.

The second stage of the battle was piss easy, just roll between his legs and hack away at his arse!

Bongo Bongo and Phantom Ganon were the hardest bosses for me in that game though.

The Final Boss in Dead or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360 was a total *****. I don't remember her name but it was that glowing blue naked girl that could kick your ass before you had realized wut the hell.

Either Bowser from the first Paper Mario game or Trema from FFX-2.
Yeh bowser was a royal pain in the arse.
And even though it's an RPG like said near the beginning, Deathbeard from Golden Sun was bloody difficult.

Exempting RPGs, I'd say a hard boss is the last boss in Metroid Prime 2. The big bugger wouldn't die for me.

The Dahaka from PoPWW: i spend time looking fo rall the health upgrades to make kailena easier, BIG MISTAKE fucking tentacules man

A couple of others for me would have to be the finall boss in Tales of the world for the Psp kills your entire party and nearly you halfway through, and THIS would have to be the HARDEST in the world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70iFdnI-xfA&feature

I don't know why anybody hasn't mentioned any of the bosses from the MGS games. The Sorrow, from MGS3. Because of it's unique awesomeness, I 'died' about ten times before I figured it out (THe rest of the bosses in that game though were simple point and shoot and dodge).
Because none of the bosses (unless playing european extreme) are hard in any Metal Gear game maybe?

Bosses I've mentioned in prior threads like this:
Spikey Tiger in Secret of Mana - 7/10
Ultimate Donkey Kong in the '94 remake - 5/10
Zophar in Lunar 2 - 10/10
Dr. Wily in Megaman 7 - 9/10

To this formidable parthenon, I will add Dark Samus from Metroid Prime 3. 10/10 on Hyper difficulty, somewhat less on Veteran. Three phases. No checkpoint in between. On a time limit. The last two are only vulnerable at certain times. Yet despite this, the 1st form is the hardest of them! DS is leagues beyond anything she pulled in the previous game, likely to run your Phazon metre up to half before retreating even if you know her attacks well. Did I mention she's got a move that heals her? At least the 2nd phase is something of a breather, as it drops recovery energy... on VETERAN.
Actually now that you mention it, The Ing Emperor in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes was pretty freaking hard.

Deathbeard? It only took me one try on him. I'm with that other guy on Dullahan.

Kingdom Hearts: PS2: Sephiroth.
This and Sepiroth from Kingdom Hearts 2
Terra (The Enigmatic Soldier) and the Data battles against Organization XIII in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix far outclass both of these battles in terms of difficulty, I found, so I think this list pretty much sums up the hardest bosses in the Kingdom Hearts series.
Well, i don't know, because my country's fucking retarded, and never gave us Final Mix 1 or 2

Im not sure if it counts as a boss fight exactly.. but the final mission in GTA 4 if you make the same decision as me. like a 7/10 difficulty
You have to kill a warehouse full of guys, then chase him down. He gets in a boat and you have to hit a jump perfectly on a motorcycle so you can grab onto a helicopter. Then you actually get to fight the boss.

And the end boss fight in Halo 3 made me mad but only because it was so easy. He only has like 2 attacks and they give you one of the most powerful weapons in the game. 2/10 difficulty. If that.

Any boss from Killzone Liberation, they will make you want to throw your PSP across the room. They will hand you your ass even on normal mode....just like every other normal enemy.

Oh and screw your no RPG rule, even when your maxed gear and level there are still those bosses that will destroy you if you don't have a proper strategy. Magi Master from FF6 isn't hard per say, but if you kill him while he has sufficient magic he will cast ultima on your and there goes your entire party. The only way to kill him is to keep sapping and damaging his magic until he does not have enough to cast ultima and then finish him off.

Elle Kaiser and Diavollo from Crimson Gem saga will rape your party no matter what level or gear if your not careful with your MP and keeping your barrier up. Despite being turn based combat, they will attack 2 or 3 times non stop and just crush your party with some of their attacks.

Ruby and Emerald weapon, do we even need to discuss those guys? Again, your level and gear mean jack shit to them, all that matters is that you actually have a battle plan to beat their cheating asses.

So's mine, but my cousin bought me a Japanese PS2 and TV in the hopes that it'd work up when I was going through my Japanese classes, along with a copy of both games, which is how I know. It does suck though that they aren't in English.

First gym leader on Pokemon Yellow - I think its Brock

Hes almost impossible because you start off with Pikachu and there isnt much choices of water and grass at that point in the game either.

What are some of the differences? One day i'll learn Japanese, but not today.
