]Well, I live on the same island where they filmed Jurassic Park.
And right now they're filming Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 here, too.
My parents even met Johnny Depp without telling me where they were going.
I'm sure your parents are wonderful people and love you very much but ... not telling you about a Johnny Depp meeting? That's just mean.

Hell, most of the scenes in the trailer park boys TV series and the two movies are with a half hour drive from where I live.
I'm torn between utter jealousy and concern for your safety - don't get mixed up in any of Ricky's schemes. Damn I love that show!

I know. Movies and tv shows have no problem teaching the young ones about the joys of alcohol, but marijauna? Noooo, that's a "drug"!
thats because its highly illegal and glorifies it. It's basically telling kids its ok to ruin your life and rot your brain with it. Feel free to attempt to defend its use but trying to defend such things is like trying to defend a crack whore stabbing someone for their tv to sell for more cocaine.
I don't bother defending my beliefs or trying to convince others to agree with me. I believe what I believe and think what I think. You get to do the same. The need to makes others agree with one is, in my opinion, a childish and futile need. But you can disagree with that.

According to Wikipedia, these movies were filmed in nearby Lake Charles, Louisiana.

002 - Blue Vinyl Directed by Daniel B. Gold and Judith Helfand. It featured Mossville, a community stranded near the petrochemical plants, dealing with the effects of vinyl chloride pollution.
2006 - Mercy Directed by Patrick Roddy. Ex con John Mercy finds the transition from prison life is not easy. As John begins to settle into his new life on the outside, a mysterious woman starts to follow him and finds her way into his dreams, creating nightmares with devastating consequences that threatens his parole, sanity and dream for a new start.
2009 - Good Boy Directed by Patrick Roddy, written by Ken Henderson of Moss Bluff, LA. Good Boy is about a young man in a dead end job, who steals from his employer and hits the road for a new life. His journey to freedom is derailed by a mysterious, sadistic killer and his human pets.

You're more likely to do those things with alcohol than with pot. Actually pot under normal/light use has no lasting effect on the brain.
But even using it once can set off otherwise "sheltered" diseases/disorders which normally would not come out in a person.

For example I know a guy who smoked pot once and it set of his skitzophrenia, which nobody knew he had until he smoked the pot. He now is on serious drugs and has been in a mental institution (yeah they still have those) several times.

Apparently they filmed Resident Evil: Apocalypse movie inside my old school. You can find it on wikipedia, I'm not too interested in openly advertising where I've been.

I've never seen that movie, but considering how well most video game movies go... I don't think I missed much. So there.

There isn't anything in my city but I know Transformers 3 is being shot down in Milwaukee and that's only like an hour away from where I live. A little while ago there was a movie with Jonny Depp in it that was shot there too but I don't remember what it was.

Edit:
"Attracted by tax incentives that went into effect Jan. 1, Universal Pictures has committed to shooting portions of its upcoming Johnny Depp film "Public Enemies" in Wisconsin, Gov. Jim Doyle said Tuesday.

The movie is likely to include scenes filmed at locations in Milwaukee, Baraboo, Oshkosh, Madison and Columbus, Wis., said Scott Robbe, executive director for Film Wisconsin and a leader behind the development of the tax incentive program."

Ah a fellow Wisconsinite I see. Yeah I was in Public Enemies as an extra, it was filmed in Oshkosh, WI for a decent portion.

The Inbetweeners is shot just half an hour away from where I live and in a couple of episodes, even nearer. Funnily enough, their producer lives where I used to live.

I was waiting for a reply like this. :p

I jusst thought it would be easier for the non-pot smokers to notice the difference between ground weed and tobacco.

Nah, this wasn't intended to be that kind of thread and I'm not that kind of girl. At least not today. :)

Besides, who'd want to live in a society where everyone agreed on everything? We've all seen that movie and read that book.

One of the scenes in the new Indiana Jones movie was shot in New Haven, about an hour and a half from where I live. A lot of the stores that were in the scene had posters up afterwards saying that they were in the movie.

We had a bear run loose in our neighborhood, and a drunk driver behind the wheel of a ford pickup was hitting every mailbox he saw, this was a while ago though

Your neighborhood sounds like a good one to stay indoors and play games in, and not go outside!

They used my time machine in "Back to the Future" was funny how they put those wierd plastic parts on the outside. The entire system actually fits under the center armrest aside from the flux capacitor which is shown in the movie.

Mallrats and Drop Dead Gorgeous were filmed in the piece of shit that used to be the Eden Prairie Mall before it got fixed up. That mall is about a 5 minute drive from my house.

Prince named his movie Graffiti Bridge after a the real bridge in Eden Prairie. I believe some it was shot here too, though I haven't seen the movie. Purple Rain was enough Prince for me.

That's about it for my town in particular.
