I have an important question. Is the philosopher's stone from the first book the same stone as the one from the deathly hallows?
And if not, how do they plan to bring back voldemort whith it in the first book?

There was no philosopher's stone in deathly hallows. If you mean the resurrection stone, that's a completely separate object.

The plan in the first book was to use the life-lengthening elixir that the philosophers stone produces to juice voldemort back to full power. He wasn't really dead in the first place so the elixir was supposed to be all it would take.

Well the whole HP series is largely about growing up and while he is a whiny ***** at times (aren't we all?) he certainly grows a set of stones before the series is done with.
