I remember when my friend got that game and we took shifts playing and sleeping in a basement for an entire week. Good times.

THE HEART TURNED PINK! HOLY SHIT THE HEART TURNED PINK! Anybody?
Although I think giving a woman 500 pieces of pie for 500 days would establish anything but romantic interaction, Harvest Moon does tend to create its own ethics of things.

But, yes, I do remember tentatively waiting for the heart to change, then trying to express the excitement to someone else nearby.

I still have it, I haven't beaten it yet. I don't remember, I think I have to wait for winter or something for the lake to freeze over so I can get... something. Ann already said yes to my proposal, so now I'm just twiddling my thumbs.

I played the gameboy version and even though I had abosultely no idea what the hell I was doing (I thought weeds were grass and was confused as to why I couldn't buy an animal) I became addicted to the PS1 version.

Completely stupid concept, well excecuted and fun game.

Now I have to go beat my animals for wandering everywhere except the paddock and barn.

Anyone else's cows/sheep get buggy eyes when you accidentally left one in the rain?

I was pretty fond of the 64 version, still the best one in my opinion. And I always went for Karen. Hot and her dad owns a winery? That's like the perfect girl in my book!

Awww...

And here i thought I'd never see men confessing to play this. It warms my heart.

It was a damn fun game though. I love HM.

I've only ever played the Harvest Moon on the GameCube, which I found strangely entertaining.
I bought it just for a laugh, I had money why not get a stupid game?
Then I found out it wasn't stupid, it was fun.

I remember I use to write littles notes to remind me what to do and when plants grow best in what season, sadly I didn't get far in the game (I think, is there an end?) because I have to admit it kinda got hard for me; maybe because I was young and just wanted to run around and throw things.

I remember that too. Nobody ever got why I was so happy. I'm pissed though. I no longer have a N64, so I can't play this any more. Does anyone know if its on Virtual Console?

EDIT:Scratch that, just looked. Its not, but the original is. Do you think I should get it, or buy one of the gamecube versions?

I haven't gotten to play Magical Melody, but it sports a resemblance to HM64. Other then that, no, the GCN releases are all nothing like the 64 release was.

PS. Did anyone ever marry Maria?
I did the first time on back to nature for the PS1 until I accidently corrupted the data. I still play it every now and then but for whatever reason it always seems to come back to me whenever I get sick and stuck doing nothing. A great game though.

I think Natsume definitely took a gamble on the idea of a farming RPG but I think it's the only thing keeping them afloat at this point.

Ah well. How's the original? I can get that over Virtual Console.

Which are you trying to refer to, the original SNES release, or 64, the third in the series?
Well regardless. I've played many, and HM64 is still my favorite one.

God...I've played so many of the HM games over the years. I owned the black and white one on the game boy, the one where you play as a male on the GBA (friends of mineral town or something like that), the one on the PS1 and the one on the PS2. I can't say I've ever played the N64 version but I really don't see it being too different than any of the ones I listed.

edit - I played the SNES version as well, forgot about it, but didn't own it.
