Yeah Twilight, at how shit it was.

Yee-HAW that one was a real thigh-slapper wasnt it kiddies? Sorry I couldnt resist....I'm not too big on books...I'm still channelling the spirit of my five year old self who craves pop up pictures, but I can absolutely appreciate a good story when I read one.

A Hermit's Cave
Fool's Fate...

The Farseer and Tawny Man series heaped so much shit on Fitz that I was dreading reading the final two books, but Robin Hobb's just a damned fine author, I went and read them (woohoo, 1200 pages in a week and a half). First time a proper happy ending's gotten me blubbing.

I tear (meh, it counts, I guess) at certain passages of le Comte de Monte Cristo (don't ask, if those characters were real, Haydee would be first - and only - on my list to ask out).

Not yet.
But there are moments in Gone, Hunger, and Lies which are pretty...well, if I were ever going to cry at a book, it'd be them.

Harry Potter did.

You all know which part ;_;

Edit: Actually multiple parts, but the specific ones are still obvious.

Many times. Hell, I cried just a couple of days ago reading The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. Kvothe's story can really tug at my heartstrings at times.

Some books have come close - specifically Saturn's Children, and parts of the Mistborn series. I can't cry though, so they never succeeded.

I can't recall squeezing out tears, but I did come damn close when reading The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch.

Really only quoting to say that this is an amazing book and that everyone ever should read it and The Name Of The Wind.
As for books that have made me cry... none, probably because I try to avoid overly sad books.

I remember having to leave my 3rd grade classroom for about ten minutes when we finished reading Stone Fox. I still get mildly teary-eyed when I remember the absolute best line in that whole book.

"Anyone who crosses this line, I shoot."

It makes sense in context.

But yeah, even recently, I still can. Off the top of my head, the little impromptu funeral in The Gathering Storm (book 12 of the Wheel of Time), held for the Mera'din who died protecting Shaido prisoners, did it to me.

One part in Myrenn's Gift (the second book in the series I think) involving Wyl and his sister. [n]NOT THAT[/b].

And...

I think that's about about it, unless you count Claymore as a book, which you don't.
