"Holes", man. When Zero finally

finds his mother.

Bawled like a little kid. That part of the movie was an absolute tear-jerker.

I dont know how to make a spoiler warning thing, so i wont say which part.
So did I. Was it that part I was thinking of? I don't know how to spoiler either.

I sat for five minutes looking over my bookcase and I can honestly say that no proper book has ever done the job. That being said, a Peanuts comic book always made me tear up when I was a kid when Charlie Brown kept checking his mailbox for valentines and inevitably never got any. As a kid, I always felt bad for ole Chuck.

Yes. Books tend to be more emotionally engaging for me than other forms of media. The only one I'm going to admit to, though, is:
A Game of Thrones [http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/A_Game_of_Thrones].
When Eddard Stark (who is very much a well established main protagonist character in the book) is publicly executed toward the end, during a chapter told from his nine-year-old daughter's perspective in the crowd. I shed a tear or two over that one.

Also, The Road. Twice.
I miss Mikey :(

But as for my contribution, Sweet Silver Blues. For a series usually known for it's fantasy humor, the first book's ending has a wonderful sense of melancholy beauty. After the main character, Garrett, rescues the girl he foolishly loved as a young soldier from a vampire hive, he returns her to civilization where she inherits a huge fortune from his dead best friend.

Every anniversary of the event, she sends him a nice gift and an invitation to go see her. He never goes that way.

I don't think any books actually made me cry or tear up. Many have made me put the book down for a second to process what just happened but not tear up.

Actually, tell a lie. Marly and Me. If you're a dog owner and you read that book...the tears flow man, the tears flow.

You all know which part ;_;

Edit: Actually multiple parts, but the specific ones are still obvious.
Harry Potter is the closest i've ever come.

I was on the edge near the end of the last book and if she'd actually killed Harry, like everything leading up to it suggested she would, instead of copping out and throwing that god awful epilouge on, I would definately have cried

In the Wheel of Time series, a certain character says: "My husband rides from World's End towards Tarwin's Gap, towards Tarmon Gai'don. Will he ride alone?"

I get misty eyed every time.
Yeah, The Wheel of Time has come close to getting me to cry a few times.

The eyes of the King, that made me cry. But it went over the top to the point I almost considered making a satirical web comic about it. Other books have made me sad, can't remember crying though.

The Guns of Tanith, when
"Try Again" Bragg is killed by Lija "Fething" Cuu.
It's the only Warhammer 40k novel that has moved me to tears. Author Dan Abnett definitely knows how to get the reader invested in a story's characters.

Just put
tags around the text you want to hide from casual observation. Be sure to put a "/" after the "[" at the end to properly close the ending tag.

Ravenheart (by David Gemmel), the scene in front of the church before... Every time I read that book I get misty eyed.
WoT many times, most recently with Rand at the top of Dragonmount.
And Terry Pratchett has made me cry with laughter inumerable times.

Queen of the damned by Anne Rice. It was so boring, I cried for all the trees that had to die for that boring piece of crap.

I know exactly what you mean...I cried when Harry made out with Cho too (out of sheer jealousy).

OT: No...I don't expect one to either...the only media related item that I almost cried at was the end of the Return of the King...because I was so sad it was over...NERDDDD!!!!!

Haven't done that yet.Althought I've been angry at how some characters act in certain situations.
P.S I think there was a part in "THE INNOCENT MAGE"(by Karren Miller) which made me teary eyed but I'm not 100% sure about that.
