Dead Rising takes place in Colorado, which is where I live. During a cutscene in MW2, a military base in Colorado was shown. And I made my characters in sports games like Smackdown vs. Raw and UFC Undisputed originate in Denver, which is the city I live in.

Man, Colorado doesn't show up in enough games.
We should start a petition for games set in Colorado...

Fallout 3. I lived in Germantown MD for a while. I am now a couple of miles south [still on the MD side of the capitol wasteland though]

There is no Miami in Florida. Miami differs so greatly from every other city, it could very well be its own state.

The neighborhood I grew up on was in Diablo. It was the cow level.

No, but I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. There was a show on the science fiction channel where the main character was from my town, I don't remember what the show was though.

Gonna jump on the Fallout 3 bandwagon here. I didn't actually like the game that much, but it was really cool seeing all the places I know rendered in the game.

In fact--you know that really weird space-age highway ruin just outside Megaton? Yeah, that's real. It's the Springfield [http://suburbanista.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/springfield-interchange-bankbryan2.jpg] interchange [http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/82554205.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=6C4008C0FD9EB5A5BDBFD9AF29DC59E689DFB516DEDA19463A75F85D01C9DA76]. I like to think that it wasn't destroyed by the nuclear war; the residents of Springfield Springvale just tore it apart with sledgehammers for being such a godawful piece of traffic engineering.

I don't know of any games from either rural Nova Scotia or the-middle-of-nowhere-town Alberta. The only possibility I can think of is if there was a spot in the X-men Origins: Wolverine game where you were in Alberta.

However, I can say that several games were made nearby. A little company called BioWare is based in Edmonton, so I take a little bit of pride in that. While the games may not have been set here, goddammit at least we can be known for more than the Oil Sands.
