The ending of Bioshock 2, at least the good ending I got made me almost cry.
I killed one Little Sister by accident and the stupid grown-up one somehow interpreted the 1:1000 ratio as meaning I wanted her to be a fucking psychopath.

I got the mildly bad ending. I wasn't pleased.

AAAAGH You gots a sharingan!! hehehe jk

Anyways I did feel a bit more shocked than sad when you have to fight Ash and especially how he has all of his best pokemon. It honestly was a moving experience and was a fitting end to the game.

Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core, VIII, X and Metal Gear Solid 4.

Final Fantasy XII got me close to it.

I had a Game Gear dropped on my head as a small child. Those things were surprisingly painful.

killing a child is kind of a big deal, i'm not surprised you didn't get the happy ending

During my first playthrough of Mass Effect 2 i thought i'd got evryone through the suicide mission and then for reasons that continue to elude me, Mordin died. I spent the rest of the day in a weird kind of denial and occaisonaly asking the wall "Whyyyyy?" ;n;

True, but the game's measure of morality is so rudimentary (ironically, it's thematic "depth" is what it was praised for) that you're essentially working from a balance sheet, so I shouldn't have gotten that ending.

I'll try to phrase this so that those who've played the game will know what I mean, and I can get the gist out without spoiling for those that haven't:

The final boss fight of Okami. Sure, he whole "power of love" thing is readily apparent, and a tad cheesy (though it makes sense in gameplay), but the fact that the final battle requires that you soldier on in spite of all odds, and then rewards you handily for your trouble, is a genuinely touching and inspiring moment. It's really a great way of mixing gameplay and story without resorting to cutscenes.

I got very, very misty-eyed at the end of Half Life 2: Episode 2. Because that ending came out of nowhere and was extremely tragic. My thought process watching it unfold was, "Oh geez, are they going to kill him? Valve wouldn't kill him, he's too important!...right? [small]oh shit they're actually about to kill him[/small]."

only game that made me cry was Kingdom Hearts 2.

when you first get to control Sora and are about to leave Twilight Town for the first time. When he is getting ready to board the train and is saying goodbye to Hayner, Pence, and Ollette; knowing that those are Roxas' tears and that his friends don't remember him.

I'm a guy of mid thirties, I've blubbed like a little girl many times. I'm very emotionally weak tho, takes very little to choke me up. It's bad enough that avoid seeing some movies in the cinema cos I don't want to embarrass myself. Heh, I imagine this might be a surprise to some people who've plowed thru angry rants of mine, too.

All 3 Metal Gear Solid games made me cry...

Other than that, I've come close in a few RPG's and other games but never actually cried.

Jak the precursor legacy. Saving the red sage I was moved to tears around the millionth attempt. Actual crying. Seriously, you needed timing slick as a greased stopwatch to avoid getting a faceful of laser-fire-blast thing.

Metal Gear Solid 3. The whole ending sequence made me tear just a little bit.
