Yes, of course.
Star Ocean, Star Ocean II, Fragile Dreams, Tales of the Abyss and FFX in the scene when Yuna performs a sending.
I guess it is almost impossible not to get, at least a bit, emotinally involved with a story you`ve spent more than 100 hours playing. And I emphasize that this emotion may not be happiness or joy, it can be anger and rage also.

It may seem strage, but I smile when i get to blow someones head off and after that ill take few practice shots to their cold dead body just to be sure i still got the skill. But when a game asks me to kill a dog, I try to run away and when i realize it isn't going to work, I will give them as fast and painless death as possible with a tear in my eye.

The ending of Final Fantasy 10... I believe the only time I ever cried for a video game... I was 12 at the time I believe >.> Then it became that piece of shit FFX-2, I swore to destroy Square Enix because of the abomination created.
I am still playing FFX (I'm going to zanarkand) and I already got moved once. I already think it is a great game, and I was happy to know that there was a sequence.
But after I saw just the opening of ffx-2... Jesus!
I totally agree with you.
It is not only an abomination... it is so absurd that I am still doubtful of its existence.

MGS3 and 4 have brought me closer to crying than anything else I remember watching or playing.

I'm with ya man, all the way. Well, maybe I'd spare the creators of KH2 but other then that...
Oh come on, we of course have to spare Nobuo Uematsu. The world wouldn't be the same without that great mans music. Also I will spare the creators of the old Final Fantasy and many other of their older titles. But the guys who made X-2 were the ones who made 12 and 13... I can live without them.

The ending of Halo Reach and I suppose I would cry if Tali died in the suicide mission (Legion died instead on the tech bit which takes the PISS cuz he was loyal and everyone says he and Tali are the ones who don't die on that particular part)

I cry more from anime though, fuckin' Lelouch man *sniffle*

I didn't cry, because I'm just too much of a manly man for that... yeah, manly man...

Anyways, closest I ever got to bawling was the ending to Crisis Core. I had to sit there for thirty minutes just repeating the phrase "It's only a game... It's not real..." over and over and over again.

But I didn't cry! I didn't!

'sniffle' poor Zack...

Metal Gear Soild 3 and $ were both tear jerkers! I didnt want to the kill the Boss... and also playing Peacewalker just makes SPOILER ALERT! in 3...2...1.. Big Boss's death more heart wrenching... Also, Snake almost committing suicide? WHAT THE HELL? And.. that whole microwave thing was depressing.. Also cried when Vamp died as well, yes I know he killed E.E but seriously.. Vamp is awesome! The last fight scene though in MGS 4 killed me.. Specially when Liquid Ocelot becomes Ocelot just to say.. "Youre pretty good" AHH! I died seeing that...

I cried in Megaman X when I realized there was nothing I could do to save Zero. I was maybe 8 or 9 at the time. True story.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Just that. That one made me cry but in Mass Effect 2, when everything went to shit in the last mission I felt genuine loss. Plus I really loved Thane and felt terrible about the fact that, no matter what I did in the game, I couldn't save this brilliant man's life. I think that one hit home especially hard because I could help everyone but him. Plus Legion, I felt a certain fondness for him, probably because I was sure he was Saren.

Well a game has never actually made me cry, but the one that came the closest was Silent Hill 2 when I first played through and got the sad ending.
Is that the "In Water" ending where...SPOILER!!! James kills himself, while you get to hear Mary reading the letter? END SPOILER!!!

If so, I feel your pain, man. That was pretty intense. It didnt make me cry though.

I once nearly cried when i played spyro on ps2: "Oh, man. This game is so terrible!snif, snif"

The very end of the first Mass Effect. The combination of the music and the savior rising from the rubble. Shit, I've never seen something so heroic in my life. Unlike almost everything else, this truly deserves to be deemed as "epic".

Had Shepard actually died, though, I probably would've cried buckets.

But DAMN I loved that game!!!

You know it's good when a game makes you cry even though you KNEW the character was going to have to die!
