Well, this might not be what you're talking about exactly, but I am having devoloping feelings for someone. Let's just say the circumstances are awkward and stressful, and the whole thing might be the cause for my very slight insomnia, extremely low self esteem, and the reason I sob for ten minutes about once every week or so.

Basically: I will never think of a love song the same way again.

Well, it changed how I view sexual orientation quite a bit (no, I'm not gay, but my previous girlfriend went lesbo on me).

I no longer feel negative towards the gay population. Don't know if that was her or the fact that I matured a bit since then, but something happened.

Thankfully, I'd try to keep my personal life and my dating life seperate (come on, you know they're different)

If I ever had a girlfriend I'd like to assume that a break up wouldn't ruin anything for me.

Songs, movies, food, smells, a whole county. There's a million things that remind me of a man I never want to think of again.

There's video game characters that remind me of ex-boyfriends that I'm still friends with and it makes me smile.

It gets better. It may not seem like it, but it gets better. One day you'll wake up and it will hurt a little less and that continues until you don't think of it much. And even if you do think about it, you'll be at peace with it. Just hold in there and know that you have meaning, worth, and deserve happiness and love. Keep busy and find joy in the little things- they add up. Whenever you see something negative about yourself, think of 3 good things- they're there and people will appreciate them.
Buck up, buddy and welcome to the escapist!

My last one ALMOST ruined my favorite band, Soilwork, for me. But I'm over that now. However, I don't think I'll ever be able to go to the local Italian restaurant again =/

My last relationship ruined religion for me. I basically hate religion now (rather than my previous neutral stance) and really think the world would be better without it.

Those were the kindest and most heartfelt words I've seen in a long time. Thank you, mimssy. I really needed that.

No one should ever have to suffer because of the actions of someone (especially a loved one).

Feel better. *hugs*

Considering I lost everything then my ex dumped me in that month back in 2009, Yes. It did ruin me.

And seriously, enough of the relationship topics, this rate we'll need a new sub-forum.

My ability to sympathize with or take women seriously. I don't really like being a misogynist, but my last relationship made me hate women so damn much. I hope to meet one who can greatly change my mind.

Things ruined by my ex-wife:

Motley Crue's "Girl, Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)"
The last thread keeping me from becoming a complete misogynist
Hockey
A couple of sexual positions with big-breasted girls

"Except for these Crazy Eyes."

Sorry, couldn't help that. OT: A few songs were ruined. Not really much else though.
