Also, Lou on expert. Damn you to the deepest pits of hell activision.
Hell Lou on medium was a total *****. I can get a damn 98% on F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X with a controller, but I can't beat that bastard. Though I must say having rented Superman 64 AND played it, that between that and NARC for the PS2 Guitar Hero 3 is no where near hell in the levels of frustration it causes. Oh almost forgot that Predator game for the PS2 *Shudders*.

I broke an original Xbox controller I got for my birthday playing Far Cry Instincts.

The controller in question was a Mad Catz controller that for some crazy reason felt it needed to have a Trubo button. Apparently I had somehow programmed it to hit "A" when ever I pulled the right trigger. This was particularly helpful in Far Cry where you have to be really stealthy in the first part of the game. Using for multiplayer games was cool because it made me harder to hit.

After 3 hours of trying to get to the part where you get captured and injected with the stuff that gives you Feral Powers, I threw the controller as hard as I could at the solid wood door across the room from me. It shattered and I went back to trying to play with the controller that came with the Xbox in the first place (which is still too big for my hands).

I am no longer friends with the person who gave me the controller in question.

Most commonly the frustration of a game only gets to me as a result of poor programing. If I'm playing GTA III and I fall through the road into nothingness, it's annoying. Cheep AI, (Nintendo) as opposed to clever AI, (Resistance) is also annoying, but to a lesser extent. At the end of the day, the most upset I can remember getting at a game was because of Fallout 3's plot. I expected the game to be mediocre at best, but I found it to be surprisingly enjoyable. Until, that is, the father of the PC decided to act both moronically and out of character for one of the most contrived and cliched plot twists I've ever seen. I had to stop playing, put in another game, and buy a new coffee table.

It ruined the entire game for me. Very rarely does a me draw me in and this one did; until it spit in my face and tossed me back out again. I still enjoyed the game. I had fun and it passed the time, but it could've been so much more. So, sometimes I do feel the need to take out my frustrations in illogical and unproductive ways, but while one would probably assume it comes as result of encountering obnoxious difficulties, it's more likely to be a result of disappointment in something, once I've grown to like it.

No attacking anything or anyone for that matter, but getting pissed off fo' sho!

Recently, with MLB 09: THE SHOW because I have no plate discipline and I keep swinging at everything that moves. A fly stuck to the TV and I actually swinged at it. But no physical aggression (only phsycological, aimed at myself hahaha).

In the past, playing Ninja Gaiden (NES) in the las level for the first time. After beating the god like boss that shoots electric bolts at you, the power went out in the house. No auto-save back in the day = start...from...the...beginning.

Another situation with a cousin of mine, while playing Tennis for the NES (I know, that's way old school). I was beating him and out of the blue he kicks the NES and says "rain delay". Man, I so wanted to beat him but he was like 15 and was 11.

Yes and there has only ever been one video games that could do this...well series. The 2k hockey, now every difficulty by All Star is easy for me but yet All Star and still to hard for me and the difficulty is to easy leaving me on that one setting making severely angered which i don't know why. I have broken many remote controls because of that series.

I usually get pissed when i repeatedly die in a game and the more i die the harder i hit my controller. I have broken 3 over my knee and knocked down my friends' trophy shelf because i threw the controller.

RE5 got me screaming mad and I almost put my fist through my TV (Sheva is useless until you put a magnum with unlimited ammo in her hand). The objects, however, cost money. Usually I take out my frustrations on myself...I heal...

The Game: Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)

The Inanimate Object: My Bedroom Wall

I hate blocking. I'll just throw that out there. I get battered in fighters by good players due to my stoic refusal to protect myself from their onslaught. So imagine my surprise when I, during early stages of playing NG, I could spend several minutes at a time cowered behind my katana, waiting for an opening to unleash my awesomeness. Yet this wasn't the cause of my anger, as the game demanded patience, to learn the skills. My fury came when, being ambushed by 12 brown clad ninjas in a later level, they started lobbing spike grenades that were blocked but exploded right by your feet. My ego, my HP and my wall took a battering that night...

Street Fighter IV actually drove me to slamming my controller into the ground. But this only happened once.

More times then i can count. Most likely the game i get so frustrated over is playing Left 4 dead. I've had parts of my head set come off from beating it. I have also broken a mouse from clicking too hard/beat the shit out of the desk i work at.

Yeah, the only time I've gotten really violent was when I was playing through RE 4 on professional for the first time, and I was at the part where you have to run from the Salazar statue. I was literally killed 30 times in a row.

I was using a crappy ps2 wildcat controller, and it wasn't picking up the button presses fast enough, so I unplugged the controller, swung it around by the cord and slammed it as hard as I could into the ground, sending clear plastic flying.

I then preceded to plug in the factory controller, and beat it right away.
