so this is pretty simple, ive noticed many people adding their online gamertags to their escapist profiles. i was just wondering if this has caused more good or bad. so has adding your gamertag caused you to find more legitmate gamers to game with or have you just been annoyed by the ammount of assholes that have tried to add you as a friend?

I don't have Live anymore. The credit card it was attached to expired and my parents won't pay for it again. Being a college student, I require more vespene g- er.. I mean, I must construct addition- sorry... I have insufficient funds.

So, I guess, no, its done nothing for me. The people I had met online before are no longer my friends or changed their tags so many times that I have no clue who is who anymore.

I've not got any invites, though I've not been on PSN for a few days or xbox live for over a year (I really, really hate xbox live).

I haven't had anyone randomly add me from the GT in my profile, I have found some good players using the groups, though, and can't think of any bad players I've met from Escapist. I guess you should't expect to be annoyed by random adds, but if you actually want people to add you, use the groups.

You...don't really think we're all assholes...do you?

I regularly play online and I am a (all modesty aside) good and respectful team player but I have only once had someone I do not actually know add me on PSN. For some reason you just don't get friend requests on PSN like you seem to on PC games which I find sad as I much prefer my PS3. But maybe it's just me

Nope. Adding my Gamertag to my profile hasn't done a damn thing since I added it.

EDIT: Redundancy FTW

I dunno. Ijust accept all friend requests and don't pay attention to where they came from. not very often do I get a message along with them except for the odd occasional boosting partner.

I haven't gotten anything out of it yet, but it's more of a "look I actually do play these games" proof in case somebody demands that I put my money where my mouth is sort of thing.

I've had a few people add me on XBL since I put my GT in my profile.
I also put it in a few reviews I did.

No assholes, thank goodness. Though I have to admit that since a few of them live in the UK, and I'm in Canada, there are some that I haven't even seen online! But beyond that, it's been fine. Heck, I just played Operation Flashpoint with Chicago Ted last night.
We'll beat that mission yet, Ted! Stupid pilots!

The only people who I have made XBL buddies are people that happened to chat about teaming up in a particular thread.

I miss No More Sanity and his ignorant yet amusing ways :(
