Has anyone actually kept their Wii that has bought one?

I've still got mine, I still play it. I also play my PS3, and my XBox is at a friend's house as I wasn't using it much anymore.

My Wii still keeps me entertained to this day.

I find the wii excellent at keeping a party of 4 entertained. Singleplayer fell a bit behind until I discovered WiiWare, then I was hooked again.

But ít's sad that a big portion of the games released for the Wii are intended for the "casual gamers". I want a couple of games too!!

I bought a Wii and I regret it, I would love to sell it but I just can't bring myself to do so. I keep thinking there will be a new super awesome Wii title that will come out in the future.

I just hooked mine up last night and was to be frank, horrified.
I had animal crossing in it.
It's a mmorpg without anything good.

I have one, and I like it. I'm excited for all of the stuff that's coming out this summer, especially since the summer releases on 360 look pretty sparse. The Conduit, Little King's Story, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy are all going to be awesome.

I never bought a Wii because I forsaw this exact problem when it was first introduced. While people were raving about the new motion-controls, I basically sat back and said "Yeah, they look like new innovative controls, but if Nintendo can't drum up third-party support for the Wii, I won't ever buy it".

It's nice to know how right I was all those years ago.

Why do you guys hate the Wii so much? I don't understand this trend. Based on sales numbers alone there has got to be SOMEONE out there who likes the Wii like I do.

Earlier today I was playing Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil 4. And ya know what? They are great games. Maybe in your world they suck or whatever, but I love them.
Well, there are a couple reasons why people hate the Wii:

1) Lack of good third-party support in comparison to the PC/PS3/360. Wii has plenty of third-party games, but 98% of them completely suck.

2) Nintendo focusing on the casual over the hardcore. I mean, I don't think anyone blames Nintendo for going after the moneymakers that casuals are, it just hurts long-time Nintendo fans to see their company abandon them. As Penny Arcade nicely put it on Nintendo's 2008 E3 showing:

"No doubt the proprietors of Ladies' Home Journal were breathless during Nintendo's presentation, but those outside of that august body may derive less enjoyment. This is the deep-dish, delicious irony endured by the Nintendo stalwart: to see their platform of choice ascendant, even as their bright God turns his face away."

I don't think you are going to find anyone in this forum, even the most ardent of Wii haters, say that Super Mario Galaxy or Resident Evil 4 suck. It's just that two fantastic games (one of which is a port) doesn't excuse the lack of quality software the Wii has, considering it's been out for nearly three years.

I sold mine on eBay for $225 last year.

I still feel ripped of that I lost $25 on that machine.

Wii has allot of good games and its great at parties. I guess you guys don't know that because you are all "hardcore and stuff" but when you bring girls over your house and play a game with them. Wouldn't it be better to tell her aim the remote at the screen then press A to kill the zombie in staid of telling her how to circle strafe in Left for dead? Didn't think so. Also i have a good computer for my good RTS RPG and sometimes FPS fun. I have about 24 wii games, and they are all great 5 star titles. How is that not enough. Ow i forgot they are not ALL bloody gore Manly Manly games. But hell i bet they are all much more fun than Haze or even Far cry 2.

I traded mine in about 3 months after I got it. There just weren't anywhere near enough games out (or coming out soon) for it to keep me satisfied.

I kept mine to play games with my butt.
I'm serious XD

Also, I've got Twilight Princess coming off eBay, so I'm pretty psyched about that game. (No I haven't played it yet, no moneys until recently XD)
