I never bought a Wii because I forsaw this exact problem when it was first introduced. While people were raving about the new motion-controls, I basically sat back and said "Yeah, they look like new innovative controls, but if Nintendo can't drum up third-party support for the Wii, I won't ever buy it".
It's nice to know how right I was all those years ago.

Why do you guys hate the Wii so much? I don't understand this trend. Based on sales numbers alone there has got to be SOMEONE out there who likes the Wii like I do.
Earlier today I was playing Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil 4. And ya know what? They are great games. Maybe in your world they suck or whatever, but I love them.
Well, there are a couple reasons why people hate the Wii:
1) Lack of
good third-party support in comparison to the PC/PS3/360. Wii has plenty of third-party games, but 98% of them completely suck.
2) Nintendo focusing on the casual over the hardcore. I mean, I don't think anyone blames Nintendo for going after the moneymakers that casuals are, it just hurts long-time Nintendo fans to see their company abandon them. As Penny Arcade nicely put it on Nintendo's 2008 E3 showing:
"No doubt the proprietors of Ladies' Home Journal were breathless during Nintendo's presentation, but those outside of that august body may derive less enjoyment. This is the deep-dish, delicious irony endured by the Nintendo stalwart: to see their platform of choice ascendant, even as their bright God turns his face away."
I don't think you are going to find anyone in this forum, even the most ardent of Wii haters, say that Super Mario Galaxy or Resident Evil 4 suck. It's just that two fantastic games (one of which is a port) doesn't excuse the lack of quality software the Wii has, considering it's been out for nearly three years.
