I like New Vegas because of iron sights...

How I love iron sights...

OT: Yeah, no, I don't mind the caves etc. being smaller. I prefer not wasting time like that if I can avoid it anyway.

As for whether it's easier or not. I'm playing through using iron sights and avoiding vats altogether. It's quite a bit harder.

And how the flip are you meant to kill the Legate at the end? I mean, I'm finding it quite difficult despite using power armour and a mixture of an incinerator, a thermic lance, riot shotgun, 10 mm SMG, and the Q35 Matter modulator.

He just won't take damage... Fucker.
Tell me about it, I had a fat man and it barely made a dent, and I ended up killing him with a lever action shotgun, by my self on hardcore mode.

Stealth boy, sneak up before him, place a few C4, back up, shoot him in such a way that he notices you and walks over the C4.
BOOM.
And if one lacks C4?
Buy some!
I'm on hardcore and I'm running into them fairly frequently. I don't know if they appear more on Hardcore or not.

If you need money, go do the (unmarked side quest might be spoiled in the town of Jacobstown)

Jacobstown quest and tell Marcus you need 3000 caps to convince the mercenaries to leave, then convince them peacefully!

If you go into Vault 34, you'll find some along with a secret surprise.

EDIT: Sorry, it's 34.

Cazadors... Don't remind me of the Cazadors...
I used to hate them, then I got a plasma rifle. Let me tell you, nothing in the game is quite as satisfying as seeing those mutated fuckers dissolve into green goo...

I'm already at his camp, where you can't leave to go back other places... Or can you? I haven't tried leaving. Didn't think you're allowed?

Compared to say, Fallout 3 and Oblivion, the random caves and stuff you can go in are considerably smaller, unless there's actually something to do there.

I, for one, enjoy this. There's nothing more annoying than walking around in some random cave/subway for 30 minutes to find that there's nothing of value there, and you've wasted time that could have been otherwise spent killing things.

It's also a lot easier than Fallout 3... except those damn Cazadors.
this is a very good thing.

cazadors and giant radscorpions are bitches to kill... its fucking hard to aim it right with the ironsights to get cazadors, so you better be highly over levelled with a companion otherwise you will probably get dominated.

No, after the battle for the Dam starts, it's a point of no return.

Edit: Added spoiler tags
i dont remember where i picked it up, but the rifle "that gun", looks like a hunting rifle, the dps is through the fucking roof, and i picked that up at somepoint about 3/4's the way through the game, i vats headshotted the fuck out of him with that gun and i destroyed him in about 15 seconds between me and boon.
