HL: Source is also fairly cheap at a nice 9.99$

You can get The Orange Box quite cheap, and The Darkness has already been mentioned. May I suggest Stargate Resistance, a fun and varied 3rd person online shooter, and it's only £12.99 on Steam.

I found Assasin's Creed 2 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine for $6 each at a pawn shop and they gave them both to me for $10.

Watch Steam for deals, and keep checking at Gamestop's bargain bin for old classics. I got Oni used for $4. Good stuff.

Just ordered Mirror's Edge (new) for £5 and Prince of Persia (pre-owned) for £4 from Gamestaion and Game. Also Portal was free on Steam, not sure if it still is.

it has to be the Orange Box or the GOTY Oblivion. The Orange Box is a steal with 5 awesome titles in one magnificent little box and Oblivion is just hundreds of hours of pure bliss so it's worth the 20 or 30 dollars it costs.

I have a feeling the true fun to be found in this games' features are to be found in the sequel where it's been refined but oh well I'll just mess around with this game, no investment really (been faffing about in free roaming open world games lately >< meh)
