Has anyone managed to successfully download Dead Space 3 from Origin?

I had exactly the same problem.
I have two Origin accounts, and bought two copies of Dead Space 3 (one for me and one for a friend) to play together on my desktop and laptop. My desktop PC was wired to my router via an Ethernet cable, and i experienced no problems with the download. However, when i tried to download it on the laptop (using a wireless connection) i had nothing but trouble. It would literally download about 2% of the file before just stopping. I had to exit Origin and restart it to continue the download, whereby it would download another 2% and stop.
However, when i disabled the wireless connection on my laptop and used an Ethernet cable directly into the router i had no problems. It finished downloading DS3 on the laptop in about an hour with no hiccups.
There is nothing wrong with my router or internet connection.
So for those who are having this issues, perhaps trying this might help?

It took 4 days but I eventually got mine. Origin is a joke. x_x

No issues on my end, downloaded pretty quickly and installed with no issues.

My suggestion would be to stop the DL, go into your origin folder and completely delete any files/folders related to DS3 and re-try the download/install process.

I had to do this for Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light on Steam because it wouldn't download a file I needed to play them.

I had no issues getting Mirror's Edge w/ Time Trials, The Sims 3 and the starter expansions downloaded and playing. I haven't tried Dead Space yet.

I'm in the UK, I got the Humble Bundle with my brother, and within 2 hours of purchase we were blasting necromorphs. This the first I've heard about difficulty in downloading. Is it a US/Canada thing?

No I'm in the UK also and it happened to me, same with 2 of my friends. Doesn't seem to affect everyone just a portion.

Seriously if this was EA trying to get people to buy Dead Space: Awakening its failed badly for me.
It only reaffirmed my choice to never buy anything from EA.
I just ran into a bug which caused one of my Scavenger Bots to disappear permanently.
Apparently its been a reported and easily repeatable bug that's been around for close to 7 months.
