Exhibit A: One of my friends had recently died at this point, and my friend Hannah was really crushed by this, they were pretty good friends, so I hugged her, and one of our dick ass vice principals gave us a detention, because apperently our hug was over five seconds.

There is a special place in hell for that prick.

Exhibit B: At one point they actually still charged you for lunch if you didn't buy it, even if you brought in food, they still made you pay 3$. That only went on for about 2 weeks, ending in what was like a riot/strike

Dicks.
In my old school we also had an incredibaly stupid deputy head, who decided on a 5 inches rule where you couldn't be less than 5 inches near a girl. This was in year 11 of gcses so our last year of high school.

The rule didn't really last that long.

In Wales the examining board asked for 15 points to be removed from AS level Art, then a further 10 points from every school in Wales and then increased grade boundaries so instead of getting a B I got a D...

If part of my bra is showing accidentally or I come to school without a sleeved shirt on then I get a detention. If a cheerleader comes to school with half her ass hanging out of her miniskirt, no one says a thing.

My school threatened to expel me after I'd been gone for about a week (and I had to be gone another week).

I was recovering from surgery, and had a note (not to mention the surgical vacuum machine I had to carry was a walking biohazard). I also did every bit of homework they gave me, and was, in fact, making better grades than the kids who were actually IN class.

But they insisted I merely had to make up the *time.* Easy enough, right? No. The makeup system was scheduled so that you made up half an hour of each class for each hour you spent after school on a Tuesday. I was gone for a total of about two weeks. Four classes per day, an hour and a half each. About 60 hours, total. One half hour every Tuesday, trying to make it up with four different teachers...

And you could ONLY do it on Tuesdays, and sometimes, the teachers I had didn't stay after even if you asked them to.

So I went and attended distance school on the intarnetz instead.

My high school had split lunches because there were too many of us to fit in the cafeteria at once. There was third period lunch, then fourth period lunch. If you had third lunch and took fourth spare to hangout with your friends on fourth lunch, you weren't allowed on school property and would be charged with trespassing. It was bullshit.

No, not really. It's literally impossible for teachers to be pricks here, they get selected from 40 people and there's a line just to be in line for the training to be a a teacher for which you need a masters degree.

Therefore every teacher or headmaster has to really want to fucking do his/her job, and with that comes not wanting to mess it up.

Which kind of sucks cos it mean i have nothing to complain about at school.

Although, it wouldn't kill them to invest in better food.

That's an incredibly weird schedule you have there...

My school pulled a minor dick move just today. It was seventh period and the power randomly went out. My school is an insanely tech-dependent school (every student gets laptops, most teachers use "Smart Boards" to teach lessons). They were going to let us out early, and just as everyone was standing up to leave, the power comes back on, and we hear an announcement pretty much saying, "Whoops never mind. Stay here everyone."
had this happened to my school before, but we had the power outage in the first half hour of classes, and they told us to wait 30 min and if there was no power we could go, for the whole day. power came back 35 min later while we were just starting to get up and go, they made us stay.

Well recently, I believe the middle school in my town has taken a turn for the nazi.
They have banned the following:
- Chewing gum
- Missing homework (Well its a detention, but is handled by the office, not the teacher)
- Touching (No tolerance, you are not allowed to high five, or anything.)
- Backpacks (You couldn't have one even when I was in there, but now you are allowed only binders between classes, no bags of any sort.
- There is no school uniform, none of the schools in my town have one, But you are not allowed to wear any clothing with words on the chest, back, or pants in the middle school.
Probably some other things too, as there are stupider and stupider rules being created every day, but I am a senior now, so almost everything they are doing to this school system doesn't effect me.

In my school we used to be able to go out fro lunch and then come back into the school after we got food. Now they don't let us come back into the school. Even if it's raining or cold out we have to stay outside until lunch is over.

Uh what? Are you telling me you went to high school for more then 4 years because someone lost your papers?
They didn't lose them, they refused to give them to me, and I had to start over because I was left with no other choice.
Isn't that just another way of saying you flunked it? ;)
No, although I did flunk 4th semester, I had passed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so I shouldn't have started all the way back from 1st semester.

Making us all wear 'identity badges' to make sure that 30 year old pedophiles don't wander in and blend seamlessly with the 10-18 year olds. Oh yes and giving us one hour detentions for
-littering (aka dropping anything on the floor, in or out of class)
-adding another registration so our day is fifteen minutes longer (because some kids bunked off school)
-not properly displaying our identity badges.
Not to mention making us pay 5 pounds if we lose them or they brake.
Seriously screw fortismere.

Now this was back in 2001, but the dickiest move I can remember is this:

My school has two different lunch breaks (this is the system when I was there, don't know if it still is, but whatever), you have the entire school on a 15 minute break from 10.50-11.05 and then there are two seperate lunch breaks, one from 12.25 to 1.10 and 1.05 to 1.45: half the school would go on of those, while the other half would be in class, and then vice versa.
Well, one time, I was in class at the 12.25-1.10 period, and the half of my year that was on lunch trashed the canteen. The school went overboard and put the ENITRE YEAR in detention, even those who like me were clearly in class at the time. There were no punishments for anyone from any other year that I heard of, just my year.

Mine did. Twice.

1) Changed the already awful cafeteria system so kids can only get school food (we used to be able to swing by Tesco in the morning to get something worth eating rather than sawdust sandwiches)
2)Timetable changes. Now, kiddies only have one hour of free time in the entire day, which goes from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and they have less options for their GCSEs, with (I think) 6 of them being removed. This affects the teachers, too - their pay gets frozen for I don't know how long (I'm not even sure they know).

What about yours? Did you ever want to set the board of governors on fire?
EDIT: The one hour is made of 20 minutes break and 40 minutes lunch.
Too Many Times

Elementary School: Suspended because the principal didn't like me because I was "different"
Suspended for a day while the school had an assembly to tell the kids to "Stop picking on me"
Suspended for playing "Sad Notes" on the classrooms piano (meaning below the top two octaves)

Middle School: Suspended for correcting the english teachers grammar
Expelled for GETTING beaten up by the football team

High School: Having my schedule screwed up FIVE TIMES IN A WEEK
(various other minor problems)
Having "Early Out" days taken away because we weren't "IN" school enough
not allowed to leave campus during break and lunch (drug problem... I blame them)
Eventually Expelled because so many kids were bullying me that it would be more cost effective to remove one kid then hundreds due to the govinators budget cuts

College: Computer teachers that have Macs (hahahaha, seriously though, our computer teachers can't even operate their emails properly)
and lastly, 3 year construction project in the MIDDLE of the campus... so instead of going straight from one class to the other you have to go clear AROUND the whole campus (which relatively a class that USED to be a 15 second walk, is now a MILE away)

So yeah, my school's done a lot
oh and our college charges $100 for a 300 page PAPERBACK book, that you can't sell back to the school because they "change" the books each year (remix the answers and throw on a new cover... PROFIT!??!?!)

Seeing as I go to a university, my school pulls more dick moves than are present in the entire Russian library of gay pornography.

They are currently pulling the most erect of dick moves. Before now, we had free periods, where the time was our own. Now they've changed them to "study" periods, where we have to stay and do work, and get a teacher to sign to say we've done work during the time! With 13 1 hour free periods a week, I think that's a bit tough!
